Mine: Got pic related. Holy fuck gutto kuru what are you doing with these joints? Got too many joints that simply don't work/bad hole and sockets that don't match, butterfly joints that don't work. Anyone else have this figure and know what I'm talking about?

I think damashii Evas fall in that, at least in my case since the small parts such as hands and these leg pieces keep falling off and I have to reattach them if I even touch the thing slightly

I think it's that they don't look right in most poses, and you have to kind of just have them standing there in a neutral pose. Kind of a bummer, could have just bought POP instead and had better sculpts if I wasn't going to pose them.

Anyone feel this, or am I just fucking up? I don't have this problem with other lines (although I purposely don't collect shit if it looks like it's going to look terrible posed, like a lot of Mattel DC stuff).

I had queen's blade leina and yeah dealt with the same issues. While gutto kuru have great sculpts the joints and placement are complete and utter shit.

Huh? I had her but the only issue I ever had with the figure were semi loose shoulder joints, but even then, they weren't that bad.

The shoulder joints on mine are weird.

The right shoulder joint goes all the way down into the mid-torso/waist which doesn't allow the shoulder to move up and down and rotation is pretty hindered.

But the left shoulder joint snaps pretty close to the breast area, which seems right since the shoulder is allowed to rotate freely and move up and down, but it's also pretty loose, feels like it's hanging by a tread. Seems like the joint your figure has.

The left shoulder on mine was the loosest of the two as well. It resulted in having to rely on friction with her shirt to keep the arm up in a raised position. I kind of regret getting rid of her, but then I remember that the PVC didn't seem too high quality. =/
Experience any plasticizer leakage?

Mine's not that loose yet. Paint looks fine, don't think there's been any leakage. Some of the softer plastic does feel slightly sticky though.

I love GunBuster and I know that the Gutto Kuru was pretty much the only chance for an articulated Noriko, but even then I was unable to pull the trigger on it. I'm just too used to figmas and I knew that the quality wouldn't be on par with them.

Pic related. QC in Gunpla is getting badly lately. Earliest HG IBO kits that I have has stronger joints that the ones I recently bought.

Those polycaps are somewhat loose and the shoulders tends to fall down even the when arm is not holding its accessories.

I know that the joint mechanism in the way shoulders are attached in the body is done cheaply, but if the 1st batch have tighter joint connections, why recent ones can't have?

Probably MMC's cynicus. I love the design, and they really nailed the his build visually, but he's a total disaster QC wise. He's got a bunch of pinned hinges you can't really tighten, balljoints, and screws that you can but probably shouldn't because he's fragile as fuck. Both of his hands broke at the fingers, and the socket for that balljoint behind his head literally shattered. I've never even seen something like that happen before. It's possible I got a lemon, but he goes for crazy prices now so I'm not about to buy another to find out.

I have four different versions of that mold and they're probably my favorite toy ever, but I totally get your complaints. I like unit 00 the most, and I can't pretend like a large part of that isn't because it has the least QC problems. The hands, hips, shoulder pylons and ankle guards are all varying degrees of jank. I'd straight up buy a renewal version that just had deeper sockets for the balljoints.

Dude, pretty much all that. Gutto Kuru's Motoko Kusanagi was just a series of baffling design decisions, biggest among them being the foot sculpt that allowed no forward movement, and the neck joint that was so wildly convoluted I feel like they had to try to fuck it up that bad. Such a disappointment.

Any third party Transformer. Don't get me wrong, a lot of these are really nice and I understand development costs are high, but I always feel really ripped off paying $100 for something the same quality as Hasbro had ten years ago for a fifth the price.

Vulcanlog Venom Snake was a pain in the ass to work with in just about every way. The hips are weird in that they have a lot of sideways motion but very little forward motion, the torso joint pops apart if you so much as look at it funny, and the articulated eye is nearly impossible to move with any degree of control. Maybe I just got unlucky in the QC roulette, but it's one of the worst Revoltechs I've ever owned, which is strange because other Revos from around that time (the early Amazing Yamaguchi stuff, etc.) were great.
