San Diego Book Off used to be really good. Snagged a reissue G1 Sixshot there for 15$. I also remember seeing all the SHF Kamen Rider W stuff there for like $20 each, a Max Factory green genesic GGG for like 280 last year, and a bunch of various old gunpla.
SD gets good shit every once in a while, but this year they've kind of died down. They get the best mecha stuff imo.
Costa Mesa tends to get rare figuarts and D-arts. They also get a lot of Japanese videogames, more than the others.
Westminister has a book-off inside the Westminister mall. It's not popping on maps though so idk if it's closed or not, since I was there only 2 months ago. They get rarely anything, but they had a fuckton of Jojo SAS last time. The mall also has like 2 big anime shops so it's worth visiting.
Lakewood is kind of dirty and smells weird. It's really fucking big though.
Torrance has 2 of em on the same street. One is the most un-asian one and has no Japanese inside at all, everything is in english. That location tends to get a lot of "american adaptations", found a lot of Robotech branded stuff there. The other one is in the Japanese district and is nearly nothing but japanese. Fucktons of Jojos stuff and old gunpla here, but markup is bad.
