>>6527456>The exact same thing could be said about Storm Troopers or the Royal Guard, but I'm sure your dense ass has some retarded justification lined up for those.I think the difference between the original designs (keyword: original designs) and the new ones is that they're purposely trying to imitate the old designs just to sell it like the old stuff.
It's the same shit with the the new Star Wars ships. There's no natural changes in the designs, as the designs are just changes for the sake of changes.
See differences here. The original clone armor was prototyped and needed too bulky, so it was switched over to something far more closer to the original Stormtroopers. Then there was barely any modifications made for the Stromtroopers.
Or look at the old blue Senate bodyguards. There was almost no change at all to the Royal Guards, except to hide their identify and the color read.
It feels far more natural, because that's how it goes IRL.
Whereas the new designs could be argued could be natural, because after 30 or 40 years, shit is gonna be different, but the duck bills? Fucking dumb.
The red guards having their vision obsrued by that visor was bad enough (with the royal guards, it was mostly ceremonial armor), but that stupid hat? It's as dumb as the duckbill.
With the prequel designs, the Stormtroopers are waaay different from the Clone Troopers. Lots of personality there.
Same with the Royal Guards. They may not say shit and never do shit, but they go from being mysterious imposing bodyguards to being cutesy Honor Guards from buckingham palace.
In short, people would be more accepting of the new designs if they weren't shit.
