>>6530333It really is.
Some people are just so loyal to Tim Curry, they are either shit-talking the new movie without having even seen it, or they saw having pre-judged the film before the lights went down in the theater.
The new movie was great, and more faithful to the novel than the Curry version. In fact, the new movie is superior in every respect. The only reason to watch the miniseries version now is for Curry's outstanding performance (which is good enough reason for me)
So, to these assholes shitting over the new version because "It's not MUH TIM CURRY"
Were you aware that they offered Tim Curry to reprise his role? Seriously. But he turned it down. So it's not like the filmmakers are snubbing his performance. In fact, they thought he was so fucking good, they said "Hey, do it again for us". But he didn't want to (or maybe couldn't because of his stroke he had a couple of years ago). Just enjoy the new fucking movie. It's not like the producers are going to come into your house, take your DVD of the IT (1990) and say "you can never watch this again! You can only watch OUR VERSION!"
