>>6535335The gray medals aren't supposed to work in the Model Zero, same for the Yo-motion in the original. In the anime, the Model Zero is a new watch meant to use Z Medals (Yo-motion) and the original watch for the gray ones. The main character switches watches constantly.
The Japanese version of the watch won't even use the gray medals for music, it outright tells you no, which the Hasbro one should do, but they didn't want to piss off soccer moms that would buy the wrong medals so they made it just play music.
tl;dr yo-motion for the colored watch, gray for the white one
