I want some, but every time I see them they get snipped very quickly.

is medicos going bakrupt or what's going on here? I know this isn't the fastest toyline in the game, but in 2017 sas releases has slowed to a snails pace. This combined with some questionable issues regarding quality has me worried.

Damn shame if it fizzled out now, they almost made it to the end of the jojo series.

Once you drill through it it's actually pretty easy to pry it out. Just use the pin for leverage. You'll probably need to drill straight through the ball if you haven't already.

Honestly a detolf from ikea costs less than the average SAS. It both makes for a neat display and blocks dust. You can even make it almost airtight with those little plastic pipes used for windows and shit.

Thanks to the anon who mentioned the 6 hole base pack. I may stalk Mandy a bit more now but this gives a ton of flexibility for a display versus the standard Medicos goes with and for pretty decent price. Only flaw I notice on some which is always an issue I ran into is one side comes apart really easily with no pulling needed whereas the other side holds itself to the middle piece really well.

1k yen and you can attach a claw on them. I have a couple of Tamashii bases (Act 4 and a few older releases) and the claw adapters can fit on the SAS arm peg. I already fitted a few SAS with claws since the peg holes weren't deep enough to really allow the arm peg to actually hold them up.

Your welcome. Is there any 3D printing buddies who lurk this general who wants to be a guinea pig for my Stand Riser hybrid design. I need to make sure I got the tolerances right before publishing the design so I would like someone with a different printer to attempt the print. The pic I posted of my SAS display here >>6522571 gives you the idea. Seems to be Figma, Stage Act and certain Nendoroid compatible as well.

How do you guys display your SAS? At first I put them on my book shelf, but that started over flowing once I had 10+ figures so I bought a detolf for them... now even that's not enough (I now own most Jojo SAS)

A detolf should be enough if you don't spread your figures out to much and use risers for the figures in the back. Unless you buy every color that is. Otherwise just buy a second detolf or some wall mounted shelf with glass.

Played around with the bases with some soundplates I rarely use. I'm going to tweak stuff around more before I can finalize their displays but I really recommend anon's on hunting these packs down.

Also a dumb question but what screw driver is preferred to tighten the screws on the arms? One isn't really handling weight so well and flops easily.

The suffering is real bruh. I just ordered Sticky Fingers 2ndand still want Purple Haze, white/green Mista, Blue Crimson, and WF Giorno but have yet to bite. I'm on the fence with GER (one looks like a bread alien and the other one looks like a swamp monster) and rarely hear anyone talk about Moody Blues and Cripple Chariot in terms of how good they are.

I recently got WF Jolyne, Stone Free, and DIO. Despite Jolyne not being my favorite JoJo, her figure and Stone Ocean are amazing, easily one of my favorite SAS. DIO is a little conflicting for me because I can't get over the genie shoes and his poses seem to be a little limited like the rest of the Part 3 SAS. One of my siblings, on the other hand, had the opposite reaction, but she's biased over certain characters.

Got a Mista 1st and 6-hole base on the way from Mandarake, a King Crimson 1st from YAJ, and used Trish & Spice Girl I nabbed for cheap on Amiami. Still want Bruno Buccelati, Sticky Fingers 1st, Narancia, Abbachio, Moody Blues, Diavolo, Wamuu, Esidisi, WF Joseph, WF Killer Queen, Jolyne, Stone Free, Pucci, and White Snake lol. Kinda want a Fugo and Purple Haze, but they seem to appear so little in part 5 that they're kinda low on my list of priorities, basically just there to complete the gang (and cause Purple Haze is badass).

I appear to be in the minority in regards to GER as I like both of his colorways. I own GER WF and I really like the gold tint he has on his green. On top of that I think his green primary color and pink secondary complents Gionro 1st's pink primary and green secondary colors really well.

I know the Gyro SAS got alot of hate, but I enjoyed him quite a bit. I'm really looking forward to the part 7 figures, aside from the likely 8k+ price point.

DIO is easily one of my favorite SAS. I think his ariculation is great for tge age and pricepoint, but it is more limited than I'd like. Finally managed to get his arms decently crossed. He's got a ton of awesome accessories to make up for it though. I'm admittedly partial though, DIO is one of my favorite characters and maybe my favorite villain, and I fuckin love his goochie ass design in part 3, lol.

Moody Blues and cripple chariot are both great. Moody blues has some limited head articulation and Chariot doesn't feel that different from the part 3 variant but I would recommend both.

If you want to give him this head-on pose let him flow in from the side. Kinda like you posed Kira but from the opposite direction. Or just give him a nice standing pose with the button press hand. With the way you've positioned him now you've only really posed his arm and the head and the rest of the body is just there. It looks and feels unnatural.

I took >>6535343 's checklist since it was the most consistent and added a few changes.

I replaced some of the Swarovski grainy photo pics with the standard figure ones since they looked cleaner and more consistent with the rest of the images. I also added a little crystal symbol next to them so people can see more clearly that they refer to Swarovski releases. I also added a Kanji for "big" for the big line, since that's also going to be a little confusing at a glance. I chose the kanji because there's not really a universal symbol for big outside of that.

Probably going to lay off the Part 4 figures for a while until the price goes down from the anime hype. Mainly because they were originally cheaper. Of course, that price wasn't going to continue like that. But when I started collecting (about 3 years ago) they were slightly cheaper than now, but still they were more expensive than other SAS, so I decided to wait (which ended up being worse, because price has increased). I will definitely get them, but I marked that way because that's the reason I don't have them yet.
As for Gyro, it was also too expensive. Probably one of the most over-valued figures in my collection. I do like him, but the price was way too high. I got him first because I managed to get one from Amiami and I thought that I wouldn't be able to get him for less.

I have the white one, and while I don't mind it since it's still pretty awesome, I can't help but wish it would stand out more. But still, I wouldn't spend that much on a single figure, not on a killer queen.
As for King Crimson they're all good and they go for more or less the same price, so there's no 'worth'. Personally I think red/white looks a bit boring, and also gets sniped very fucking quickly these days. I'd go for WF or blue, whichever you like best.

I'd go for the one you like best. I personally prefer the red and white slightly more than the red and gold. And I prefer both of those over the blue and purple. Only problem with the red and white is he's currently kinda hard to find. I got mine from Yahoo Auctions Japan, but I think there might be one used on Solaris Japan for $50 if that's the one you want.

Well, my Holy Grail was just achieved. Was going for much cheaper than usual because the outside of the box had some slight damage, I honestly thought people would bite none the less but they didn't. Normally goes for 100+ these days (80 if you're lucky) so I'm not too worried.

I was always thinking of making a cherry red clear King Crimson myself. That's even the main reason I own the original KC, to use as the mold, or else I would have sold it off once I picked up Pizza Crimson.

Once the guy who made the customs in your pic showed these off, I knew it was a possibility. I just wish he provided a clear guide how he did them. I'm sure it's not too hard to figure out but then again It's not the kind of thing you want to make mistakes with.

SAS vary a bit (Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency are taller deals, Drifters and Aijin seem to be bigger guys also) but they fit roughly the 6 inch scale for other characters. Try to check Myfigurecollection for Lupin' s Revo and SHF height stats and photos to get an idea and comparison.

I ended up just slapping it onto my KC 1st for now, but eventually I'll probably end up doing the same thing I did with GER's (find iconic pose, put wf as the stand user of the normal version)

Last two for part 5 are purple haze and narancia.
Not much to say about them, aside that purple haze is a must-have for anyone even remotely interested in part 5, especially with prices for p5 characters about to increase.

Onto the front and back of the figure, the shading looks superb. And while the articulation for the arms is limited by the sculpt, I feel that the legs work better with this older style of swivel-hinge as opposed to a ball-socket connection seen on newer versions of part 3 characters.

$150 was kind of acceptable until I saw the Variable Action Heroes DX line giving me the same and a shit load more accessories for half the price almost.

Turns out that was exactly what was missing. Got that Pre-Owned C/B one from Ami and he's missing the mini-arms as well as the L pieces and the little hook piece. Guess that was why he was marked C, there's no visible damage to him he's just missing those parts.

I'm gentle with these things because I know how import figures can be sometimes, but it turns out Dio's peg on the bicep swivel was stuck, so the couple times I've actually tried to move his arm, I've been twisting the peg, not rotating it in the socket. It's been 6 and 4 months since Toyohisa's and Nobunaga's releases. Releases, not announcements.
Yoichi has been announce for over a year, last we saw him was on WF winter, not even summer. I know Medicos are slow af now, but it's getting just depressing.

Given the fact that it's been about that long since ANY sas of any kind has been released I wouldn't worry.

Having said that by the time they get around to it, they may just pass on the grounds that they missed the boat for Drifters stuff.

It can join the (somewhat rare) pile of unreleased SAS such as all of those Kinnikuman that never saw the light of day.

No, take another look at the manga for major scenes and especially individual artworks and try to pick out the dynamic poses. Not unless you want to aim for "fashion model" style poses but even then that shot made them look like you just rushed them.

That's not any better though if anything King Crimson always came off better as a menacing and hard hitting stand. Try messing around with his articulation and get to know the areas you can manipulate before taking another shot. Always give your photos a second look before uploading and asking if you're actually satisfied with it.

Should've extruded the text more to be more defined and would've made it easier to paint. Looks good though. Don't know why I never bothered with this idea but I guess I dont use the voice plates. Anyways Road Roller 3D model is complete. Just making a test print to verify the scale.
