>>6552180>Justified outrageIt wasn't justified though... Just because a movie/TV show/game doesn't have as many women as men does not mean an outrage is "justified".
The ratio of genders, and what characters are what genders, is entirely up to the creator.
It is the creator's vision, they do not owe anyone anything.
Lucas (and Abrams and others, involved in the newest trilogy) chose to have many of the characters be male. This is not malicious. This was not a move to say "Yeah fuck women, we hate them. They can't be here!". They simply (I assume) preferred to have those characters be male.
It's people like yourself that take offence to everything that ruin movies and games with your social crusading.
It's the creator's vision, let them create what they want as they want.
If you don't like it, then you don't like it. The creator is not obligated to bow down to your preferences.
If you'd stop twisting my words, you'd see that her downfall was the fact that Hasbro/Disney were pressured into producing more of her. They made more Rey figures, but no one bought her. Because the SJW "outrage" implied people WANTED more Rey.
Unfortunately facts and figures showed that, actually, not that many people wanted Rey.
Tl:dr- Her gender was not the downfall of the Rey figures. The downfall was a very loud minority demanding more Rey figures yet not buying them once they were made.
History has shown that SJWs love to demand things, but when their demands are met they just demand more, they never financially support the creator for following their demands.
For reference see: Marvel comics (anything from the last 2 years onwards), the state of Rey figures, Mass Effect: Andromeda, LawBreakers and so on.
