Knights, riding Dinosaurs!

The Kings ride T-Rexs. There are Catapult Triceratops and Siege Weapon Ankylosaurus. Knights with Warhammers and Lances riding Pachycephalosaurus. Raptor riding Barbarians.

Then after a year or so, they could introduce elves that ride dragons and other fantasy animals. Or beast men that ride Mammoths, Mastodons and other Ice Age Megafauna.

Anyway,I really hope the next Castle line won't have Castles like the 2013 one. If Elves and Nexo can bring us detailed castles with beds,bathroom,etc. Then that line can do the same. I would like some of the Elves designers to work on that line. Also,do you guys think that the re-introduction of Harry Potter in the 2018 summer will kill any chances of a castle theme?

There are a few pictures of these pairs of M-Tron ferrying around a single Futuron. This is especially interesting to me because there were two lines between Futuron and M-Tron (Blacktron and SP1), so you didn't get to see Futurons and M-Tron interacting much in official pictures. They all came in the minifigure armybuilder boxes, but in the catalogs you mostly saw M-Tron interacting with Blacktron and the Space Police. I don't know if I ever saw a catalog picture of Futurons and M-Tron together. They're both portrayed as non-aggressive civilian factions in the catalogs, so it's neat to see them like this.

Still trying to determine exactly what's being shown in this situation/build. Are these M-Tron some kind of triage program extracting injured Futurons from a crash site with their magnetic-powered ambulancescooters, or is this an extreme taxi service where the customer rides at the front tip of the ship?

Man I haven't bought a legit Lego set in years, like anything bigger than a poly bag or mixel. But I just couldn't resist a nice simple, classic space shuttle. Especially not one with instructions for a sweet space base and rover.

Two complaints:
1) I wish the shuttle had landing gears so I would have some wheels to make a little buggy in base mode

2) the tan bricks add nothing in any configuration and would be better in gray or white.

Otherwise it's a great brick built ship.

It isn't, the reason older sets are so expensive is because when they were produced they were produced in much smaller quantities than sets released today. Lego has grown massively in popularity in the past ~5+ years due to the movie marketing, and major licenses such as Disney and whatnot. To make any significant gains you need to buy a lot of sets, store them for several years, and then sell them off. Most people just don't have the space, and the average man child doesn't have enough cash to buy enough to make it worth it.
You can make some money from lego but as far as investments go it's not great.

My only other issue with it is that because its a 3 in 1 set those grey circular pieces are not ideal as either space thrusters or wheels. But that is minor.

I am ordering some proper thrusters and other parts from Bricklink, going to upgrade mine.

It's a joke about how so many modern Star Wars sets seem to be uninspired gray boxes.

Hey /lg/, I see a lot of people talking about how such-and-such minifig is only available in the $200 set, or how you would like to armybuilt so-and-so but they only give you one per set. You should be aware that Lego has a service called Bricks and Pieces where you can order multiples of specific pieces. This doesn't apply to licensed sets (at least I don't think it does), but for in-house themes, there's a limit of something like 200 units per piece. For example, if you wanted a bunch of Nexo monsters, you could buy the minifigs for about $1.50 each (you would have to order the head, torso assembly, and legs assembly separately, but the total per minifig would be about $1.50).

For some reason, the inventory a Lego rep can access directly is different than what shows up on their website, and pieces that are shown as out-of-stock are actually in the warehouse, so your best option if parts you want are listed out of stock is to call Lego (literally call them using a telephone) and place your order over the phone with a rep.

I wanted a bunch of jungle cats and didn't want to pay rape prices on cracklink, so I ordered them directly from Lego for five bucks each. I plan on ordering a polar bear and some seagulls after the new arctic City wave debuts for the same reason. If a set is currently in production/ being sold on shelves, they will probably have all the pieces for it in stock. You also get free shipping if it's over $35, just like a regular Lego order.

Just posting this because it seems like some people might not know about it.

A terracotta soldiers would work fine as the eventual good guy counterpart to the Mongol/Hun, I think. The torso print could be basically the same but on a tan or medium dark flesh piece and I'd be happy enough.

That's how I got those killer Nexo Knights summer wave figures before they hit shelves. Certainly cost me more than $1.50 each, but better than BL prices by a damn sight. I got them big cats, too, and will do the same for all those sweet animals coming out next year.

Only real problem is the unique item limit for phone orders. You can always call back and piggy-back more orders as long as the original order is still processing.

Actually bought some a friends set along with a ton of misc. city themed stuff. Benny's a local chain store is closing and went to 40% off today. I was there when the store opened and grabbed a few nice sets but nothing huge. I'm not into the Star Wars or Batman stuff.

I went to another Benny's a couple of towns away and it was wiped clean except for a small set or two.

I keep thinking, should I have bought more at the first store? Multiples of the sets and sold some? Then I think, Nah... I'm good.

I'm the City Builder Anon that buys huge totes (40lbs. at a shot for cheap money) anyways.

While I'm sure some will be, I doubt it'll be that pervasive. I get the feeling they'll try to do as many unique characters as they can within reason. Did you see the reviews? They basically amounted to people going "Lego sucks because something I wanted was sold out!" and "THIS SET I DON'T HAVE SUCKS!" They could be considered a good way to let Lego know they may have cocked up on inventory and whatnot, but they weren't legitimate reviews and shouldn't have been left up.

Hovering front part makes a lot of sense: You don't want to destroy your fossils by riding over them on wheels. Hovering nose allows to detect fossils underneath the soil. If there are none, the vehicle can move forward rocking the ground with it's wheels.

Why not to use 100% hovercraft instead (we know they have that tech) is another question. Maybe this vehicle is for planets with strong gravity or something.

But the most important question - are fossils, in fact, space cocainum?

you know, I have to agree here, The sets for $150 and on up are a bit out of reach for most parents and kids. I miss the days you could buy buckets / blue tubs for $20 and integrate those with some smaller kits and build something really cool. Now you have people spending hundreds if not thousand+ to build something once and put it on display for a status symbol.

Friends has 3+ 5-10$ sets per year too. I don't really think there are less cheap sets than back in the day, it's more that Lego makes more sets per year than before so they're less noticeable compared to 80$+ sets which stay on the shelves for long.

This being said having a 200$+ exclusive for each major theme each year is dumb, especially when only 1 or 2 end up looking actually good - out of this year only the carousel and maybe Ninjago city (although I wish it was easier to integrate with normal modulars - I do want them to experiment more with this line but you essentially have to modify the whole base layer to make it work here) don't look either repetative or just bad.

It really does seem like a Mixel replacement imo, take into account that mixels didn't end due to poor sales but solely because CN wasn't interested in continuing the show. Stealth relaunch of the line after a short break with a popular TLM character tacked on doesn't seem too unlikely.

I'm surprised they didn't make more NK battlesuits, too, they seem to sell really well here and were probably the best gimmick at this price point yet.

The few Mixels clips I saw on youtube weren't that great (yes, I get that I'm not the desired audience), so I don't know if a ten to twenty minute show based on those worked. Also I stopped collecting them after the steam punk tribe came out. As cool as the designs were, they were scraping the bottom of the barrel with tribe themes. Also I was running out of room to display them. If I had known they were going to be making that many of them initially, I wouldn't have bought every single on from the first two or three waves. I would have just bought the ones I thought looked cool. I'm still glad people liked them though.

I'm from Moscow, and ordered from seller in Moscow to avoid waiting time an possibility for package to be destroyed/lost by local post service, but instead I've got all above and it took seller a week to send me invoice and then another week to pack it. At least he refunded all bootlegos/missing parts but it took him another fucking week.
tldr: you're probably fucked, but I hope you are not.

War represents wartime, conquest represents what comes after that. I thought they're basically meant to represent a process - war leads to conquest, conquered people starve and then die. I do agree pestilence is more fun as basis for fantasy interpretations of the theme, though, and pale rider easily has the most interpetations out of them all to begin with.

I'm from Yekaterinburg (Russia). I've ordered only from 3 russian sellers on bricklink. 2 times everything was like with any other seller from western europe. In last case I've ordered a bunch of minifigs and one was missing (there were 2 of the same, so I still got 1). But again, it was a mistake. I've encountered things like that in non-russian shops too.

There actually was a Friends roller coaster set during the theme park wave they did. It came and went pretty quietly, but it was all solid stuff.

The digital version used the smaller round version of that canopy, but it doesn't exist in anything but clear rn, and I wanted the gunsight to stay outside.

They're (if I remember right) thinner, unique traintracks. Standard Lego train tracks are '6 gauge' (6 studs rail width, 4 studs in between).

I got the Nya and Zane training dummy polybag today along with a couple of CMFs. No Octopus Gentleman but I made some new characters with them. From left is Fox, an elderly globe-trotting special agent cyborg ninja assassin. He has two daughters, and had high hopes that they would continue his special agent ninja assassin legacy, but his first daughter Sidney turned out to be a big nerd who can't run a block without getting winded and his second daughter Alex has been going through a pacifist phase since she was 10, so she's only good at martial arts up to the point where you have to kill a guy.

Fox's cyborgness is thanks to the same shadowy organization responsible for the two robotic adversaries on the left, Crabhop and Brass Attacks.

That's the only thing I didn't like about the movie, all that licensed shit and tons of superheroes but barely any of the old lego themes present.
I really wish they made Johnny Thunder one of the main characters but I guess the sequel may answer that.
