One can never truly tell until it's already in-hand. Square's skeevy in that any issues even glaring ones with the sculpt will be hidden behind clever angles and posing. Lightning here looks fine save for the awkward knees though, but not enough for the new pricing(forget my life though I still preordered it).

PAK seems like one of the more honest companies when it comes to promo shots. The angle and lighting might hide some stuff, but usually what you see is what you get.

There is no jarring sculpt differences like you find with figmas or shf

You're kidding me right? Their use of angles and ESPECIALLY lighting make them one of the biggest bait and switch companies, with GSC/MF more or less tieing with them.

Most honest would probably be Kaiyodo due to their blog showing off the finished product being played around with months before it's even released.

I only own one PAK because it came with a special edition and it's decent but their finally doing one of my oldest waifus. This is a guaranteed buy for me.

At least with figma Solid Snake you can luck out and get one with a decent paint job. If PAK bullshit their shots with clever angles and lighting trickery you're just fucked. I'm still bummed by their Arkham Knight and BvS Batman, so much so that I haven't actually bought a PAK since(Lightning will change that though).

a little early to judge the bring arts line, there only being one figure released to date. I think it has potential. if they spend more time on the face and hair sculpts, and maybe not use joints they found in a trash can (bring arts Sora's elbows) this line could be going places.

i saw the colored prototype in person, it looks acceptable. the hair looked pretty bad, and i feel like this is just going to be a recurring problem going forward. bad hair sculpt and bad paint for hair and face. works out pretty nicely for 2b since most of her face is obscured so they can't fuck it up.

Yikes. I guess that explains the price. Well that's a shame, any flaws will be much easier to notice at that size. Was considering getting this and the Vanquish figures but now I'm not sure I want them if they are that big.
