I've got a few ideas for future stacks and have a growing pile of pieces on the edge of my build table for stuff coming up, but the first stack has hit the point where I can't easily shoot it all in frame without going outside the edge of the backdrop, which was the intention from the beginning. Seems like five is a good number, since it's already a pain in the butt to move.

The floors are all connected like a regular Creator modular with a few studs around the edge as you can see in this picture. Each one uses two 16x16 plates, one for the floor and one for the foundation one brick below it.

I was somewhat optimistic about it. At least more so then TFA, which I was dreading.
Then they announced that Abrams is coming back for E9 and any hope, interest or desire to see any more Star Wars movies was killed off.

I'll still buy the klocki if it looks good/interesting, but I'm not going to see any of the movies.

This is a different matter than the Falcon or the SNES Mini. Lego didn't make enough Saturn V's as part of the standard policy of Ideas sets. The Old Fishing Store is on backorder too. The Saturn V has the additional problem of more people likeing the Saturn V than like Lego, so people who don't normally buy Lego are buying it because of the subject matter

Does anyone on /lg/ make their own stickers?

I'm wanting to get Ninjago City one day, and like many people, I'll want to expand it, but I'll want to keep the city's signage in theme and the letters look rather difficult to approximate with plates and tiles.

I make vinyl decals, a single scan of the sticket sheets you get with the set should be enough to easily replicate the style and letters using Paint .NET, photoshop or adobe illustrator.

As for me..i didnt buy anything Lego because it was an utter shit lately
1) Ninjago line with gargoyles was an awful crap. Everything looked the same, boring grey with one purple accent, and everything made of vehicles
2) Star Wars which is again - everything made of grey blocks with one or two meme characters like "OMG CHEWBAKKA XD" that only sw-fags care
I was buying mostly magazines (girly ones for tiny neat items and nexo knights/ninjago for weapons and little pieces) and using Bricklink. Oh yeah and minifigure blindbags

i didnt buy any of real sets this year... Current lego is a little boring.
So boring i miss Chima with their crazy ideas and dead AT-ATlevel of Mammoths that also a decaying zombies.

I wanted to buy red Mech from ninjago but i started to be interested in transformers again so i decided not to buy another giant robot this time

Why didn't you tell be erasing print from legs would be a nightmare? Those transp neon green legs still have some print in them at the bottom of the curved parts.

To remove the printing from that area of the legs, I use a Sword of Exact Zero to cut the eraser and give it a sharp tip so it can fit inside that narrow space. It works pretty well.

That's because pin to 1x1 round brick is an illegal connection reeee

Use a minifig head instead. That's a legal connection even if LDD doesn't recognize it.

Built 75187 BB-8 last night. Was a really nice build, you're essentially building mostly 4 of the same sides but the building techniques (which is on par with any "real" UCS) aswell as the technic insides make for an entertaining experience.

The end results look really nice, I'd consider it a proper UCS. Best part is the swiveling head that's connected with a rubber band that gives that adorable bobbing from the movie. Gives it tons of personality.

This. Various ziploc sizes, many many bags. I divide the pieces by color into big bags, and each big bag contains sub-bags of that color sorted by part type. I'm currently able to store all of that inside a ~40 cubic centimeter box so it's not a lot.
Sorting by type is essential but i also need to sort by color because all of my builds so far have always had a pre-chosen color palette so i usually need to pull out just 2-3 color bags.
When i build i always know what colors i'm going to use so

I think Lego genuinely didn't expect that product to be so successful, but they said they'll continue production throughout all 2018. so eventually all demand will be satisfied.

I've been lucky because I managed to grab the last Saturn of September's restock in the Lego store near my house. I built it and I was super happy, but then I went through a move and when I unpacked it again the tip (the white conical piece on top of the launch escape system) was missing somehow. I'll buy a new one, but damn, I'm super pissed.

Sharing an old MOC I made several years ago.

Get yourself a significant other who has their own hobbies. Doesn't have to be Lego. Mine paints, draws, and does all kinds of crafts. And you know what? It still connects us. And even though Lego isn't really her thing, she gets how I can get excited about a new part, a new colour or a new set. That's because she gets excited if her favourite wool brand brings out a new colour, when she gets a new set of needles or purchases some new design. And yes, this goes two ways- invest a little time in understanding their hobby. Get excited when they find or see something that makes them happy.

And enjoy a little alone time when they dive into their hobby, so you can do just the same.

Haven't taken pics yet.
It kinda looks like the manana from GTA3 now and uses a really old sticker for the grille and headlights.
The hood it has now (one of several) looks like it was chopped from a 90s pontiac firbird and has a part of a supercharger pulley visible.
Also has a jap style intercooler stuck on the frontbumper. (Question to /o/ldsmobiles, does this even make sense?)
The thing mostly started out as an excuse to use a new wheel/rim/brake setup and to use up parts of a discounted darkgray mercedes speedchampions set.
Aside from the doors I kinda want to make it even smaller because it looks kinda big compared to my other cars.

I found a nanoblock Monster Hunter set I wanted to get a friend of mine for Christmas. He's not super big into legos so I don't he'd be annoyed they were nanoblocks, and it's right in the agreed upon Christmas price range.

Anyone have any experience with Nanoblocks? Are they just trash or will pic related be fine as a one off little gift?

also yes, I am actually planning to have more attached to the side. As it is though I barely had enough to build on a single rectangle baseplate, and with not very many interesting brick colors to use on hand. I need to fix that

I have bunch nano buildings, they are pretty nice. Only issue are the size, since it is small some of part may be easy to break off from the finish item. But you just have to re attached back , otherwise everything is nice.

So now I made something spooky. Kinda.
It's a nightliner for a horror-punk band Coffin Chain. They have been around for a while, so i decided to make something ralated to them. Something small, and not a clusterfuck of snot pieces, but that's escalated quickly. I realised how big it is only next morning after night I build most of it (night of friday 13 was productive, wooh).

Here's closer look on the cabin section, I really like how it tuned out. There's some odd Lego math involved with this technic beams, but it turnded out by itself and I'm happy with it. The chair hanging just in case some "normal person" will want to drive.
On the roof there is a canteen, where The Chef prepearing his usual "Soup of Forty Humans", and the secret recepie is:

>1 pumpkin (aka orange human head without a print)
>1 evil grape
>1 Scurrier's horn/ear/other appendage
>2 small carrots
>1 cheeky mixel eye (not the tired one!)
>2 human arms, pealed
>1 human hand,
>1 sousage (not Scurrier's horn/ear/other appendage)
>2 1x1 Round tiles, design 98138, trans-clear
>mix everything in a bowl, boil until cooked and a couple days more, just in case.

Two, maybe three years ago I went to the California one and it was sadly pretty run down, nearly everything that was motorized wasn't working. They had the set from the LEGO Movie though, so that was neat to see. I went to the Billund one when I was like 5 or something and still have fond memories of it.

I love mine. It was a very fun build, zero stickers so all detail is supplied by the bricks. The minifigs are very good. As many have said, the interior space is lacking but that's a worthwhile tradeoff for a sturdier build. It has imposing height/size and looks great on the shelf opposite my Resistance Bomber

I suspect it was because they were sitting in a plastic bag in 90 degree weather, but when got to messing around with them, there was something off about the clutch power. Rigid as in more rigid than other flexible pieces.
They aren't as rubbery as the old classic space hoses with antistuds on the sides or the rubbery hairpieces. They feel more like regular "smooth" plastic and don't have the grippy nature of the aformentioned rubbery pieces. However you can flex them. They are stiffer and harder to bend into place, but after they sit for a while they will retain that shape and are harder to straighten out.
