How do you live with the pain? There’s too many toys I will never have... they’re too expensive and getting more expensive everyday and are only available for a brief period of time. I’ve missed out on too many... it’s not fair! Nothing can stop the pain!

My way of dealing with OPs problem was to never let it happen again so for the next 3 years I would pre-order everything I could ever want.

Result was I amassed a bunch of shit I don't care for. I think I'd rather miss out on a toy and maybe have a grail to go after instead of having to deal with all these figures I didn't really want.

Go for things like domestic brands, figmas, revoltechs, and figuarts. sadly these have gone up average by 10$, but theyre all easy to save up for. on minimum wage even

I just realized at one point that just because I like something does not mean that I have to own it too. Some things are fine being admired from afar. I did apply the same to a lot of other things. Like with media I went full digital, because in the end consuming it is more important to me than watch a physical copy of it gather dust on my shelf after I watched/played/read that thing once or twice.

That said, I mostly collect BJDs. When every doll you want costs naked 600-800$ you start to think twice if you really need yet another limited release from that one company you like.
