>>6587830This set isn't for little girls but for adults and publicity.
>>6588213Yes but I think it got the smallest production run possible, 10.000 kits worldwide.
Reasearch Institute and Exo-Suit were released at the same time and both were extremely hard to come by, were scalped really hard because fucking scalper youtubers and casuals were mesmerized by the womens set having a feminist agenda and the exo-suit being a rather vague tie-in into 80s Space Lego / Benny from the Lego Movie. Exo-Suit got better with multiple production runs lasting 4-6 months but nothing of the sort happened with the womens set. For a special, one of a kind 2 weeks only set the price jump from 20$ in stores to 35$ on Bricklink MISB is laughable, though it still isn't as bad as the Exo-suit which goes for less than retail price MISB.
>>6588020It rather triggers me that Lego and normies use regular Lego figures to push their equality agendas when Legos market research concluded that girls hate minifigures and rather have figures of the style used in Friends and Disney sets. This is just made for newspapers and bloggers, not real people and completely against the image Lego created for itself until a couple years ago.
