Ninjago sets from 2018 began leaking, looks like we're gonna get the saw-shield seen on Ekimu and Protector of Ice in red.
Any other piece on your wishlist of recolors? In 2017 we've been quite lucky (trans-purple "protector" flame, yellowish green size 4 shell and some other stuff I'm sure forgetting).

Alrighty /boig/, saw this image a while ago. It's supposedly a concept of the Bohrok Queens when they were going to be giant spiders that carry the Bohrok on their backs. So I decided to recreate these, and due to their squat shape and immense size I thought getting the Manas Crab motors would be cool idea.
I think I'll give them legs that move like the Pewku set, though in a more circular motion rather than vertical little jumps, and maybe have their claws made so that they can knock Bohrok at the enemy.

Fucking Godspeed, anon. Those sets will have to be huge, also I'm wondering, how are you planning to attach the Bohrok to their backs? Afaik the clips in the Bohrok canisters can't attach to anything but the bottom of the canister lid, so I think you can't use those (If you manage to stick them to anything else plz show me, that'd sound awesome)
Just make sure to make their legs all long and lanky like in the pic, as well as the upper arms, otherwise they wouldn't really be the same.
Also do your best to get ~5 Bohrok onto their backs, but at least 3

I'm totally not a judge at all and I agree. Diamos had too good of a body build though despite it's face lacking hence why it got 3rd. Voxlity and Eisei's were great though and I'm still mixed on the results of our 3rd place.

Sure, I'd be glad to after the project's done!
I'm getting the stickers made by purchasing a 4x6" photo print from CVS (They're super cheap, not even a dollar) and using a cheap xyron sticker maker to make them into stickers. I'll post updates when I'm done tweaking the stickers and when I get the forge built.
After it's done, I'll gladly upload the .ldd file and the sticker template on mega for anybody to use.
The parts cost me a total of 37 dollars on bricklink between three sellers. For those looking to save money, there's a brick with bar (pic related) that's a PAIN to find in dark bley and 12 are required, I HIGHLY recommend buying them in old gray instead to save money.

there's a link to the original video, posted by the MOC's creator. >>6593025 posted someone else's MOC, unless they're shadowgear. tl;dw shoulders are iffy in the lower two arms, upper two can go about horizontal outward. elbows get a little over 90

Word on the street is that someone got a copy of the early game along with Stunt Rally, and were going to send it to someone on Rock Raiders United, but that was weeks ago and nothing else was heard of since.

Lego's early 00s marketing was on a different level compared to these days so it made ok sets cooler than they actually were. Aside from the shitty masks, though, there was a lot of stuff to be excited about, like the introduction of actual silver, dual mode weapons, etc.
The Toa Metru are the same. On retrospective they had a lot of flaws I won't list, but they marked a new era for Bionicle sets and the marketing during the Metru Nui arc, though different than the one during Mata Nui, was still great and had that early 00s obscure/creepy charm.

Member the krana? I loved the krana. They had different colour to their coresponding element and yet they went well with it. They had different designs to the masks, looking instead like malevolent alien faces. And they fit muuuch better to the head too. I only have four and wish I had more. My only problem with them was that they didn't have a nice head or helmet to go with them. I didn't like the bell-shape of the old heads.

Also, sorry for asking to be spoonfed, but can someone explain parting out to me? The way I understand it is that you order each part seperately instead of just buying the complete set. My problem is, on bricklink wouldn't you have to buy each piece from a different seller? When there's a set that has 100+ parts, wouldn't that would be kind of a hassle, to put it lightly? There will be an option for "part out," where you can then make a wanted list with all of the parts for the set. When you go to that list, you can click on a "buy all" to show you shops with the parts. From there, click "auto-select." That will give you the best overall deal for parts via cost and number of unique stores you buy from.

I guess people wanted a proper modernization of the Hau, akin to Lhikan's Mask, though I knew that had gone out of the window as soon as I saw the Phantoka (I still like Lewa's mask a lot).
I think what bugs me the most are the eyeholes. They look passive, dead. It's the same reason I hate Nuju's Great Matatu. If the eyes pointed a bit upwards like on most masks or were completely replaced by a visor-like slit similar to that of the Zatth, I know I would've liked the "Hau" itself more.

The people who point it out [spoiler:lit]who aren't just parroting haha binociel meme[/spoiler:lit] do so because of the way it's used, not the piece itself. The majority of the time, mocs and official sets that use 2006 torsos are built largely the same way, both literally and in terms of proportions. If you take away the greeble and masks, one lanky, broad shouldered silhouette becomes indistinguishable from any other. It's not an implicit remark against what you made, but a suggestion to do it differently than nearly every other time those parts have been arranged in that particular way.

Finally, here's some relevant building notes:

-The whole model is in dark bluish gray, but I *highly* recommend swapping out the 1x1 Brick With Handles (Part #2921) for Old Dark Gray. The change is barely noticable, and the piece is stupidly hard to find in dark bluish gray as of right now.

-In order to add a lightkit, remove a 1x6 plate from the middle of the bottom layer of the base, and the 1x2 plate from the middle of the top layer of the base.

-To create the stickers, take the image to your local photo center and get a 4x6 print (NO BORDER). You may need to tweak the colors a bit depending on your print shop. I highly recommend taking the extra time and effort to do so if practical, as 4x6 photo prints can be obtained for less than a dollar a pop. Cut the photos into three strips vertically, and run them through a 1.5" sticker maker. After this, cut the stickers on the white border lines and you're all set!

-I recommend buying #53551 (Chain Link) in Flat Silver instead of Pearl Dark Gray but that's up to your own tastes.

Edit: If you plan on adding a lightkit, replace the Plate 1 x 12 (#60479) with two of Plate 1 x 6. Otherwise the original list is fine.
Capacity of the forge is roughly 250 studs with lightkit, 300 without. I recommend about 25 trans red studs, 25 trans orange studs, 25 trans yellow studs, and 175-225 trans neon orange studs. depending on your capacity.

This means a lot, man. There's just been a certain void in the hooby since G2 came and went. One that no amount of system sets or moccing could fill. But this? This forge here is a project with purpose. A project that with bide my time while I sit and wait for Cyberhand, for a new possible constraction theme.
