>>6594410Forget toys, they will put returned food items back on shelves. Most stores will take almost anything back even if the package is open, and ripped apart. The only items they sometimes don't put back on shelves are perishables like raw meats, fish or icecream, but if you return a box of cookies or a bottle of cooking oil they will ask you "Has it been open," Most of the time if you say no the food items go right back on the shelf.
Also toy swapping isn't just limited to male action figures or toys. I've seen this in the girls sections as well with dolls. Sometime they'll swap parts for custom fodder.
The only items stores are ultra strikes with are opened dvds, blu rays, or software discs because they fear people who might copy them, and than try to return them. Even if you return a defective dvd because it wont play they don't just let you swap it for another copy, and leave the store with it unopened. The cashiers are trained to break open the shrink wrap of the replacement dvd so you don't try to return it as new. That's the power of Hollywood right there.
Stores are more careful, and care more about protecting Hollywood's financial interests than the food items you might buy to feed your new born child.
