>>6592008In my case I've been waiting since september last year for one of my many, many orders, before they gave false shipping eta's, now its just "we're putting you through to our escalation team", which doesn't exist.
I'll give them one thing, before they went arse up the free shipping for orders over $100 (least within australian dunno about abroad) was an amazing offer, as well as the energon points system.
...not that it means much now that I've lost more than I saved.
>>6592009Government wants to increase the taxing threshold for Australians, right now if you spend over $1000+ you get taxed for goods purchased overseas, now they want to tax everything, the most annoying part is HOW they want to enforce it.
They want sellers to do the charging, not customs, say I spend $100aud at hlj they gotta tax ON BEHALF OF THE GOVERNMENT 10%, paying more personally isn't the problem (still cheaper than back home in most cases) but ebay etc have threatened to geoblock Australia to just make things easier for themselves (basically I could only buy from other Australian sellers, can't buy from an american or chinese etc), in cases like ebay they argued they're just a platform and not an actual merchant but government wants $$$
I would rather one of the systems like the UK uses but the government doesn't want to do that for god knows why.
Doesn't come into effect until I *think* July next year, was supposed to happen this year but the opposition argued something and stalled it, it was knocked back in the past for being too costly to implement but for some reason they're trying again.
Well fuck them paying more is a hassle but some shit I simply can't get here.
