So I've been looking for some 1/12 scale katanas for my figures, and I've seen pictures of the Masterworks katanas. I can't tell exactly how they work, are you supposed to be able to switch out between 2 different lengths for each sword? How do they fit in the hilt? I've seen some listings for these figures on ebay, mostly from taiwan and china. Can these sellers be trusted, or am I gonna end up with a bootleg?

I've already bought pic related, but the scale is rather off, it is rather thin and flimsy (and was also kinda bent when I got it)

You... probably were expecting something out of scale, yes. Swords aren't thick enough IRL to be left with much volume once they're scaled down to a 12th of their acutal size.

The lenght-part probably means that the grip setup can fit on two different tangs.

see, the thing is I own the revoltech samurai skeleton, the sword it comes with is ''thicker''. I would like to get my hands on another or more 1/12 katanas that are close to the dimensions of the skeleton katana, or atleast don't look too small in the hands of the skeleton revo

You looked at chinese action figure packs yet? Their weapons are generally oversized enough to fit 1/12 figures and they probably do have some with Katanas, despite the CPC.

I bought a full set of them.

The plain hilted ones are supposed to be larger scale swords of some particular kind, I don't know japanese military history well enough to put a name to them. The smaller swords are supposed to be 1/12 katanas. The blades are not swappable. The small swords are all one piece, I believe, the larger swords are a blade and then a hilt piece... maybe two hilt pieces? I'd have to find the bag where I put them.

They're kinda small for most figure's grasp, and since they're supposed to be realistic, they're also fairly short. Most of them are about three quarters the length of, for example, Deadpool's swords.

I have a few on my fantasy figures shelf, they look nice enough. I say, if you find the big box for about 20 bucks, get it.
