Yo /toy/, i have a dumb little question because while i like toys i am no expert.

So basically i found this funny thing at a flea market for 10€, i wanted to ask you guys if perhaps it has any peculiar value. The package has seen better days but it was never opened. I am an Evangelion fan so i could keep it for myself, but if i can make a quick buck on it then i might consider it. Does anyone recognize the precise model? I wonder what was the original price (just 15€ i bet lol)

I made that 15€ joke because i know not all toys are so expensive. Years ago i bought an Alien NECA for 20€ for example. I'm sorry but I'm not shitposting

Depending where you live and who is your target market, you can make a good amount of bucks in it. Otherwise just keep the figure for yourself.

Also a lot of people hate Evangelion because of its cancerous fanbase. So yeah.

Because it's worth a lot on aftermarket and it's not something you'd typically find at a flea market since it's an import collector's toy.

Oh, i see. Is it really that rare tho, feels like i see these things all the time at cons and comic stores. Anyhow the lady selling it said her daughter used to collect action figures all the time but then stopped caring about them, she clearly had no idea what it's value was. Makes me wonder what else she sold at such cheap prices. Gotta love flea markets, they're a gold mine

But yeah, i think I'll keep it for now, i kind of always wanted an Eva figure, although I'd rather opt for a 01. Plus i see people selling it online in the 30-40€ range, it wouldn't be that big of a profit to sell it at a similar price

Haven't opened it yet but they do look good and fun to articulate. Really, the only thing stopping me as a fan was that I'm never sure wether i prefer the designs of the original series or the reboot's

Just open it. There are no good figures of the original series designs anyway, and RD Evas are incredibly fun to pose. Did I forget to mention that these are some of the most well articulated figures ever made?
