Mattel's stuff can't possibly get worse. You have DC stuff that looks worse than things from 15 years ago. Franchises like He-man which basically have to be given away. And Mttel's other stuff isn't relevent to most collectors.

They are horrible at doing dolls, so I guess it would be the end of Barbie, wich has been a mess for a while.

Chinese made dolls would probably take over the gap in other countries where Mattel sells to, while the american ones would just fade.

While the Legends figures are borderline over saturating the market with all the releases this year, Icons had the opposite problem, delay after delay just made a lot of collectors and retailers lose interest.

Basically: They want to unite the two brands to keep smaller brands out of the shelves in stores.

Not to mention they want to compete with "tech", instead of trying to develop toys with better quality.

Mattel's CEO is so unlikable desu, kinda bet they will end up comming out with more creepy talking dolls with glitches tgat exposes their users to who-knows-whom.

The only thing I care about Mattel is their DC license and they've been completely wasting it for the past years. The DC Multiverse line is an inconsistent mess. Hasbro has been doing an OK job with the Marvel Legends line, so I hope the deal gets made.
