>>6626224I feel you on this, Anon. I was so displeased with Transformers (and especially Power Master Optimus Prime, that really broke the camel's back) that I took a little over a year off from collecting any kind of robots and retreated to Lego.
Now I'm back to robots (especially Transformers), but I've decided to limit myself to things that are better, get good reviews, and (generally) tend to cost more.
I used to pick up whatever Deluxe class toy I thought looked "kinda cool or interesting", and ended up with a lot that just lost their charm after not very long. Now I've sworn off of most Hasbro products, especially Deluxe or smaller. I've bought one Voyager, mostly because it got a great review from Thew, and I've been pleased with it.
I've mostly been getting stuff from Japan, like God Ginrai (I know, it sucks, I like it anyway) and the third-party transforming cab that goes with it. I've also collected the huge-ass Voltron combiner.
I know what it's like to be a poorfag, so I can't just buy everything that seems like it /might/ be cool. With the new limits I've set, I have to pick and choose, look at reviews and make thoughtful decisions as to whether or not I really want something.
So yeah, if I were you, I'd take some time off collecting to reevaluate your priorities. Do you want lots of Transformers? Or do you want a few that are better than what you've come to expect?
(I know, nice job on that post, nice blog bro)
