I dunno, I get a lot out of my rocks, both the ones I dig and the ones I buy. Dinosaurs (and all of the biotae of the Mesozoic for that matter) fascinate me as a puzzle of knowledge.
I spend hundreds on fossils, and just dozens on toys. I see a few thousand dollars worth of plastic there and I think 'fuck I love dinosaurs too but I could have bought some really nice fossils for that money.'
