The problem is that you have an entire generation of kids with a thousand yard empty-headed stare that can't make decisions in their lives because they would rather spend every waking minute in front of a screen, basking in vicarious glory at their e-celeb gods as they play fucking video games, instead of researching and understanding aspects of their lives that affect them. Every one else has to make a call for them to find things out, or push them like a boulder up a hill, because they willingly go through life with zero agency or personal responsibility. But oh lord, if someone makes the wrong decision -for them-, watch out! The boohoo routine isn't far behind, at how mommy and daddy wrecked their lives and now they'll suffer the ennui of an aimless shitfuck coasting on the accomplishments of previous generations and a 1% lifestyle in relation to the rest of the world.
When I was a kid, nobody told me shit about college. No one in my family knew, no one in my school cared to tell me. So I went around and looked at brochures that I had to procure for myself (gasp!) and talked to various college councilors in person (double gasp!) and wound up with scholarships that made it affordable since I knew drowning in debt right out the gate was fucking retarded. Yeah, anecdotes aren't one-size-fits-all for life, but come the fuck on, you know that none of what I described has vanished. Millennials just don't give a shit and want to live a victimized life where their complaints about their caregivers become the generational calling card instead of actual achievements.
