This guy posted saying that Bulma wouldn't fit the DBZ line and then backpedaled like fuck saying I should have known he meant the series that he didn't say when I pointed out it was a DB figure
Then he tried to shift the goalposts to say that the figure somehow won't fit the other DB figures without bothering to explain why. When I asked why, he still couldn't do it.

I'm sure he can stand on his own, this is just for the convention so they don't have to go into the display in case it tips over. SS3 Goku 2.0 stands fine on his own even with his huge hair (normal and dynamic poses) but in all the display pictures they used the stand just to hold his hair up.

Any versions that have a 2.0 release I'm throwing the original into storage but I'm hanging onto them since they're resale value isn't what it used to be. Still keeping all my SDCC exclusives on display though, even if Broly is the only one that holds up.

"Kai"? What "Kai" are you talking about? Theres no "kai" symbol, just the Kaioh one. And in the Vegeta saga he had "Kame" (turtle) on front and "Kaioh" on the back. Pic related.

Going Super Saiyan 3 at 7 years-old is fucking insane. There's no reason that Goku & Vegeta shouldn't be training Goten & Trunks if they actually cared about protecting the planet.

Mystic Gohan has never actually finished a fight before TOP and everytime he's shown up till now he eventually loses. The closest he's came is when Super Buu hid from him. He's lost to Gotenks Buu, got absorbed by Buuccolo, got killed by Kid Buu, got knocked out by Piccolo, lost to Goku, lost to Beerus. Lost to Frieza although it was partly faking.
His only wins are in the ToP tourney and that's twice. In fact, even counting filler, Gohan has pretty much lost to everyone outside Cell, Garlic Jr, and Tagoma and a handful of minor characters as Great Saiyaman.

Best potential in Dragonball.

The reasons doesn't matter, everything related to Gotenks was a complete waste of time that amounted to nothing in the end. He had 14 manga episodes to acomplish something and he did jack shit. In fact, let's see what he actually did:

-Fusing correctly after three attempts.
-Getting his ass kicked by Boo after his first succesful fusion.
-Waste time flying around the planet and defuse when he is finally facing Boo, so they have to escape.
-Deciding against finishing off Boo when he had the chance.
-Fight like a clown forcing Piccolo to destroy the door of the Hyperbolic Time chamber.
-Play volleyball, waste time, and defuse again before defeating Boo.
-Fuse again so he could be absorbed.

The character was a complete joke and seems pretty obvious that Toriyama never intended for him to actually amount to anything in the battle against Buu. If some of you have a hard-on for Gotenks that's fine even if I can't really understand why, but you should really stop spamming these threads with your moaning about his unknown release date.

I like the Buu saga a lot, but I get why a lot of people don't like it. I would say the disjointed nature of it is largely due to Toriyama really playing around with the franchise and trying to have fun with it again. Attempts to analyze it logically are missing the point. I get that that seems unsatisfying, especially after the more straightforward Cell saga, but given how irreverent almost all of Toriyama's other work is I think its not completely out left-field.

Ultimately a lot of Buu saga is about subverting expectations. Trunks and Goten are as powerful as they are because after every then-living saiyan over the age of a year old became a Super saiyan in Cell saga, everyone might as well be. Vegeta going Super Saiyan was already an ass-pull, Gohan's was barely any better; ultimately it became just another technique.Everyone gets power boosts that amount to nothing, because by then you expected the new form to be the thing to save the day, or at least be the deciding factor. Kaioken, Super Saiayn, then SS2. Then in Buu saga, you see fusions fail, SS3 fail, Gohan's ultimate form fail. The final villain is weaker than his prior forms. Its a complete screw you to the concept of power levels, which were never meant to be taken that seriously in the first place. Hating Gotenks for being a waste of time is missing the point, so long as he entertained someone, that's the point of the character. Its not just about being the strongest and bestest.

I had some retard tell me in the last thread that when Frieza pre-orders sell out completely hes going out of stock. Do any of these new fags know the difference between Bandai shop exclusives and retail releases. i will still keep mine for that reason, though they are also different costumes. and i liked the kamehameha effect

Honestly, 2.0s are going to save this line, as much as I wasn't into it at first. Vegeta left a LOT of salt in people's wounds/wallets after the phoned-in PC, and it doesn't help that they ping pong between renewals of the EXACT same design and renewals that tweak existing designs.
Obviously as I own the majority of the line i would prefer new appearances(majin vegeta, god goku etc are great ways to get a new mold without pissing on people) but bandai is to blame for phoning it in at the beginning .

The 2.0s have completely incompatible heads and face plates from the old figures. You won't be able to swap faces or heads, though it might be possible to swap heads by switching the neck joints. The skin tone will be probably be different though.

Kid Goku is the only one with a release date. We did got Yumcha and Nappa and we are getting Ten... After asking for them for 5 freakin' years. I'm not saying 2.0s are the ONLY things we're getting but they're definitely making new characters longer to get. Out of the 5 upcoming figures, 2 are 2.0 and by the time we'll get Roshi, Bulma and the rest, you can be sure we'll also have slots taken by SS Goku 2.0, Piccolo 2.0, Gohan 2.0 and many more.

Part of me is kinda disappointed that the new Frieza is missing the parts for his iconic Piccolo/Krillin kill scene, but the same time glad that owners of the original have something exclusive to the original, so that early adopters/big spenders have something that keeps their version unique. At the same time, it doesn’t feel like they’re “cheaping out” on the figure in the process since they replaced the hurt face with a new face, leaving just the rock out if I’m not mistaken.

You literally have no one to blame but yourself. I paid the late tax for one figure, Cell which I paid $130 for years before PC was even a thing. He's a shitty figure and I quickly learned that paying $100+ for early DBZ SH is one of the dumbest things you can do as a toy collector.

I'm sure we'll get Bulma/Buu/Roshi/Gotenks next year, but there's a sea of prototypes in this line that never saw the light of day.

But even if we do get them, and they maintain their roughly one-figure-per-month release, that really only leaves maybe one or two other releases for next year. I'm betting at least one or two of these figures remains in prototype hell for a while (hopefully it isn't Buu) and we'll probably get other, as of yet unannounced figures before them.

Since they seem to be shifting gears to early Dragonball and the Buu arc, I really wouldn't be surprised if we get an Ultimate Gohan 2.0, though that would be super boring.

I hope for a Vegito 2.0, but I'd sort of want them to go balls to the wall with it. Goku black has me confident that they'll sometimes surprise us with the number of included accessories and parts, and if they did Vegito I would hope he'd have a Base, SSJ, and SSB head, each with at least 2-3 faces. I know that's almost entirely unlikely, but it would be a best-case scenario, I guess.

I can also see them doing something like they did with the Base-form Goku and doing a cheap, quick SSJ Goku with a repainted Rose head with just a few faces/hands.

There's also no way they won't do a UI Goku soon to capitalize on that hype.

Adding to this the old molds might as well be another line of toys at this point. Awakening Warrior was the beginning of something better and Kaioken was just the end of the "past line"
Look don't get mad at me for saying this but you know it's the true, the 2.0 are superior in almost every way figure wise the only complaint are paint and accessory count(they still come with a fair amount) and prices gone up but what line hasn't? Bandai really stepped up with their figures Nappa, SS3, Awakening, Beerus, the Vegetas, Trunks get nothing but praise even SSG Yamcha and Tien will get it too and I'm pretty sure Kid Goku, Majin Vegeta, Goku Black are going to be top tier figures

There's pretty much a chasm-sized divide between the old figures and the new ones starting at Awakening Goku.

I feel like figure after figure I'm saying "Wow. This is one of the best figures in the line," when that's actually almost less true and more that this is just the new standard.

Just compared mine and you're right and wrong at the same time. The neck muscles are a little bigger as well as the back torso being a tad larger too (about 1.5mm) but the front torsos are equally large on both figures.

For one picture, that costume sure became iconic. The only other one comparable would be the Pink Dress version, or I guess the Bunny version. I can see why they went with this as it makes her look "tough" in a line full of fighters, and it actually is probably her hardest suit to sculpt. I just worry that the leg articulation looks like it's going to suck and not get much rom.

Also to her costumes, it's not like she was wearing them for very long in Dragonball. She was changing every 10 episodes or so. It's likely she would have wore this suit at some point so you can pretend it's a super filler scene.

I've seen customizers repaint Time Patroller's head and sculpt an ear for the scouter side and it's spitting image of Adult Gohan before he unlocks his potential. Same for Trunks, all the parts are there for a 2.0, just fix the collar from Time Patroller.

As long as Bulma is taller than Roshi, then she's perfectly fit for this line in terms of scale. Though that's assuming Roshi will be in scale.

They're two different shows you dummy. Dragon Ball is a comedy adventure. Dragon Ball Z, generally, drops most of the comedy and adventure for more "epic" fights. Super is somewhere in the middle, closer to Z but with elements of DB. So yeah it's entirely possible to like DB better without being a retarded hipster.

The first half of Dragon Ball really lacked in the fighting department. Around when Tien came on though the fighting got brutal as fuck.
Both Piccolo fights ended with Goku basically throwing his limp body at the Docs.
I don't like how much of a bitch he was at the start of Z, or how Gohan can effortlessly surpass him or be just a saga behind when Goku's entire life was fighting. That fag Gohan went from being beaten up by Nappa, to fighting fairly well with Vegeta. At least Dragon Ball was consistent. Super just ran with Z's inconsistency.
I do love all 3, but for a "comedy", Dragon Ball was much more grounded in reality for progression and how the fights should go.

On her (screen) left eye it isn't covering her pupil, on the right eye it is covering her pupil. That makes the shine two different sizes in two different positions, it's literally right there in the picture. The look of two different size pupils is off putting to some people. It makes the face less cute. The banpresto did a better job, and the colors are brighter also.

Its actually closer to 3500~3600 Yen.

And considering they literally have to do no work to the figure itself, since the body is just the orange Gi that already exists, and the head/hair is just the same from Black, pretty much the only work at all that has to go into this guy is the tamp on the face plates.

I'm betting 3 or 4 face plates for sure, and maybe 7~9 hands (Fist hands, Kamehameha hands, open-palm hands for sure, maybe an IT hand, though that would be "inaccurate" for Frieza-arc Goku, possibly the Martial arts/style-pose hands) It'll be a basic release, sure, but I doubt it'll lack too terribly much.
