So, I really like what this figure could be but, $50? Maybe its because its on pre-order or that its a Japanese figure and I have never bought a Japanese figure before. Do you guys think the price will go down?

No, the price probably won't go down, and if it does, it'll probably only be by like $10 or so. If anything, Japanese figures tend to be much more likely to shoot up in price due to the whole "production run size is based on the number of preorders" thing ensuring that there aren't many floating around on the market after release.

That being said, if you're willing to take a gamble in the name of poorfagging, you could just monitor the BST here once the figure comes out in the hopes that someone who impulse-bought it gets buyer's remorse.

Generally you don't need to preorder, but if you're gonna buy it near release anyway, you might as well. There's no guarantee any given figure won't sell exceptionally well and go out of stock fast.

Anywhere domestic, most of the time. BBTS, Amazon, y'know. The markup is usually more than shipping it from Japan. Can be worth checking just in case, but make sure you price out the import sites first. For anything that's been out for a while, avoid eBay if you don't want a bootleg.

It depends on the figure. Revos generally last a bit longer than Figuarts but if the character is popular then it'll sell out quickly all the same and you'll be waiting for reissue that may never come.

Honestly, for this one I'd get it now and avoid disappointment. The price isn't likely to go any lower.

I keep hearing this but I've overall had a BETTER experience with Amiami's customer service than HLJ. They respond pretty fast to my e-mails and have gotten me spare parts for several figures before that arrived defective.

I guess the only downside is they don't let you cancel without risking a ban on your account.

Unregistered might be better in the sense there would be less points along the journey it gets scanned for updating the tracking so it would have less chance of been discovered it's meant to get customs fees put on it.

That said I've had quite a lot of RSAL parcels get through with no problem or charges.
You get the choice to pick your shipping when you go to pay on Amiami anyway, they show you the overall cost for every shipping method.

Can confirm. HLJ to east cost US via SAL is usually under $10 for something smallish like a SHF.

But it escalates pretty quickly. Once you get to three or four items they just stop offering SAL and go straight to EMS.

Well, the small packet shipping options are the cheapest you can go when shipping from JP but they come without insurance. Last time I checked the fee for additional insurance and tracking was 410 Yen but that will only cover items up to 6000 Yen. The thing to remember with RSAL is that while it has tracking and insurance, it is very low priority. I haven't shipped a lot from Japan, but my experience so far is to expect around three weeks with RSAL, and three days with EMS. If you're the type who goes nuts waiting for things to arrive, spring for EMS. It's cheaper than therapy.

Dunno whether you'll be able to avoid taxes, thou. As a rule, tiny packages and unregistered(not recommended for expensive shit)/ non-EMS suff is less suspicious to the average customs officer's eye but ultimatley it all boils down to luck. My sister's weeb stuff got caught by the customs last time and it was a small, light package shipped via RSAL.

I don't use EMS anymore (If the shit I buy is under 3kg/ small)because It WILL get stuck in customs and they usually work slow there. While my stuff might reach my country within three days the customs office will take 3-5 days or so to notify me that they have it. It's supposed to be express mail but due to these factors it might take 7+ days or so till I finally get my stuff (ignoring the costoms office's horrible opening hours).

Hard to say. At one time, Revoltechs will universally go down to absurdly low prices. I haven't really been checking them out but apparently they've become pricier.

It depends on why and how much you really want it. If you really want it because you need to for furry ahegao purposes, then yeah, maybe you should drop the dosh. If you simply like the character, and don't mind that the toy will be limited by the joint system, then yes, go for it.

But if budget's an issue, then no, don't get it. It's a Revoltech, it'll have certain limitations. As far as I know, there are no better articulated Judy Hops figures available at the moment, but it's probably not worth the money.

Final ver will not have knees for sure. Nothing ever changes that much at this stage.
The thinking process was probably the joint is so close to the aknle and will break the thick pants sculpt, serve almost no point to the articulation, thus no knees.

The only time I know revo skimped on an important point of articulation was the MGSV Soldier's right elbow. But his other elbow does have a joint, and in general it was viewed as not a big deal for a generic enemy figure in the mini format. For Nick to not have knee joints is truly unfortunate.

I just ordered Air Small Packet a few times, I got stressed and it stayed in Customs for almost week but in the grand scheme of things that really isn't all that long. I missed the delivery just today but am able to finally pick up the package. In the end, I'd say it's worth saving $10 each delivery to wait an extra week
