No extra necks have been included with figures and Gnoxx (the masked gob) actually has a unique neck piece that only works on 1.0 bodies with 2.0 heads. It looks like the new slim figures will have molded on necks similar to the bare skin torso from wave 1, but the ball joints will be smaller so 1.0 heads won't fit on the new bodies.

Bog Goblin is literally the same size as the gob on the far left (Gnoxx) >>6667800 in this pic as hey have the exact same build outside of neck/head. In fact they also have freakily similar armor colors. I'm almost kind of regretting the fact that I bought him as I really only did it to get the full helmet head. But since the Legion Builders will come with a black version of that head...I probably should have just bought Snagg instead.

The more I look at Gnoxx and Boggy side by side, the more I wish one of em had a different color armor.

After the whole All-Star thing dies down they plan on doing another pre-order for the wave 2 guys sometime early next year. If you really want em, that'll be the best time to get one. In stock sales can be a nightmare and there's no telling who will see reissues after that. After passing up a few key wave 1 figures due to limited budget during all the original sales, I learned it's best to get what you can up front because they become much harder to get a hold of over time.

I didn't care about him initially, but after preordering Gwendoline I think I'll appreciate a guy in rich-looking armor. He looks like a prick and I like it.

I'm mildly surprised at Attlus's popularity. He looks great and I used to want him, but he was available in the All-Star 1 already and I thought a lot of people who missed him had recently settled for Not-He-Man from the Coliseum wave as a substitute.

Passing on Vitus is my biggest regret from the entire first wave of sales. He's such a unique character despite how many times his head has been used, his colors just make him stand out in any collection. Ramulus was cool and all, but his palette is just dull. He's still a long shot, but I'm sure they'll run more All-Star waves in the future.

This is one of the unfortunate side-effects of having such massive waves released all at once. There are so many figures who won't ever get a chance of rerelease since they won't produce the entire 30+ figure wave all at once again.

That was actually one of the biggest debates at the time of the fanex voting. I still feel a brown/black leather torso would've made the figure much better and cemented her as a thief type character but sadly, shiny blue armor won out.

Price it as a "deluxe" Legion Builder and it would be a great item to include in a future mid-wave sale.

Eh, a better choice would be mixing Adamonn with Raygor. Adamonn already has leather colored boots and metal gauntlets. If you swap on Raygor's red tunic and leather belt you'd be 80% there. All you'd really need would be a head (the old Neca one might work with some modding)

Dude, Figma are super tiny and not in any real scale. Figma Guts, who's like 7' tall canonically, is dwarfed by these guys who are just around 7" tall. If Figma were in scale, Guts would be just as tall if not taller.

Mythic Legions are on the larger end of six inch scale, similar to Marvel Legends and other similar western toy lines.

Mythic legions are closer to motuc and dcuc than legends, which are a bit smaller than both of those. Just shy of NECA or diamond select. For Japanese figures they're close to SIC in size.

I managed to grab two and I more or less did just that. The Knight is actually an unpainted Owain with the left forearm, neck and loin armor from an unpainted Clavian. I had intended to paint him at some point, but the fact that there's so few of these guys out there made me very hesitant. Also, his joints have gotten super loose over time and he's not much fun to mess with.

The belt is from Marvel Select Van Helsing, along with the axe that's hanging behind him. The lantern was some random item I found and I assume it's some sort of model rail road lamp post accessory or something. I added a small metal link to the top and used one of those paper ties Transformers used to use to make the rope, then added a small metal hook to it so it can be easily removed. I stuffed a tip from one of the Tamashii Blue flame effects inside to give it it's little fire and then painted the whole thing with a copper paint and then rubbed most of it off to give it an aged look.

It was all really simple stuff but to this day it's one of my most involved custom accessories.

No way to say. People are abusing the voting system, so it all depends on who's the last to cheat right before the voting ends.

I suppose that doing more than 6+2 characters would cause some delays to Series2, but maybe the 4H should consider doing all those characters up to Urzokk, because it's not fun when the figures you want don't make the cut on a rigged poll.

My three picks are Vorgus, Attila and Skelly LB. It seems like Vorgus and Attila are safe, but the LB is right on the edge.

They're kickstarter figures. They have about a month-long window where you back the project. After that you wait ~1-1.5 years for the figures to be made and sent to you. Shortly after that they often have sales for leftover stock. They had their recent kickstarter open earlier this year.

Just a couple months ago there was a preorder for a new batch of figures, arena fighter-themed. Right now there's going to be a reissue of six figures + two new ones (it's the voting you see). There's also going to be one last preorder chance for the whole series 2.0 in a few months (it's the wave that introduces females, elves and goblins).

I love Xylonia's obnoxiously large antlers, and her head is looking smaller then the original prototype so that's a good thing.

I think I'm more excited for this wave then the original line. The character and figure diversity is just so much better this time around. Though sadly they really should've made a second male upper torso mold. The phone dial chest wouldn't be so bad if there was another piece to add that extra bit of diversity.

Atilla is sorta weird. I've really not heard anyone praise or even speak of him here or anywhere else.

Bog Goblin makes sense since we're getting a load of other goblins. I wish I had a Goblin Slayer figma at this point.

Carpathias makes sense as well for the same reason. Lots of new vampires since he was released.

Attlus is alright. He's one I wanted really badly during their first sale but I missed out on him.

Skeleton Legion builder makes perfect sense if you want an undead horde.

I'll probably grab everyone but vorgus since I already have him. I wish we had Urkku and Vitus in the list, though. I love those two.

I hope they do the extra Legion Builders (Silver Dwarf and Deluxe Orc most likely) because I would happily buy those guys along with a Skeleton...and maybe even Pixxus.

We didn't vote on the first All-Stars and no one rigged the Fan-Ex votes. The first figure was almost unanimously decided outside of his head and his color, the latter two being close votes. The last one just had the issue of having too many options to deal with and no clear concepts emerged until later in the voting. Again, color ended up being the biggest battle vote wise.

And had the 4H said "top 8" fans would be begging for the "top 10!" because we're greedy as hell. The fact we're actually getting 10 figures this wave is a pleasant surprise, especially since they're throwing two addition Legion Builders into the mix, something I hope happens every mini-wave going forward.

Clean the sand out of your vagina and enjoy this chance to get some badass toys.

The next wave to come out is Coliseum, pic related and you missed the pre order dates, so you'll have to buy whatever stock they have left in store. And that in-store stock goes by FAST, as in sells out in minutes, not hours.

literally they're aren't enough to go around. These figures are well worth the original 33-35 dollar price tag, but anything above 50 should be for your favorite character. The original Eagulus was literally my first 4H and to this day one of my favorites. Not just because of how cool he is, but also because of them throwing in the cape for free and listening to the fans who made note that having an actual flag as his cape was somewhat disrespectful. The way the 4H offered something additional to this character for no extra charge just because fans requested it, then addressed an issue in an incredibly clever and diplomatic way showed me that these guys actually cared about their product and the people who buy them. Hell, that whole event was the reason I started backing things on KS in the first place.

There were some here and there, and he looks pretty good brooding on a throne and such, but he never really jumped out as a crowd favorite. I'm still amazed he dominated as strongly as he did as I would have never figured he would make the cut. I have no issues with the whole fan-based-face. G.I. Joe used to use friends and co-worker faces all the time (Tunnel Rat was actually based on Larry Hama). The problem I have is with the expression they molded onto his face. It looks like he's just doofily smiling where he should have had that same stern looking grimace all the other barbarians have. I can understand why and how that happened, but I just think it was the wrong choice to go with.

This is my other issue with him, as I'm not overtly crazy about barbarians to begin with and mostly prefer knights and soldiers. If it were the armored or tabard torsos, I would probably be all over it. Heck, the smiling face wouldn't even be as off putting if it were on an armored torso imo. As is, he's definitely a maybe. Though the new head certainly helps. I might be tempted to grab him and just throw his unarmored head on a silver knight or something.

I'm probably going to pick him up and throw his unmasked head on a Silverhorn Sentry. The expression isn't exactly great for a "destroyer" but I can live with it on a satyr.

Though it dawns on me that this is the fourth time they're using the plumed helmet head, yet not once has it been on a Legion Builder. If any helmet would be perfect for building armies, it's that one. It's also the only non-unique head sculpt I don't actually have yet so this is certainly a good chance to pick it up.

I wish 4H would realize that there is a real market for these things and produce a more reasonable number.
Especially when you consider that a good number of the figures are army builders or built with part swapping in mind.
At least keep the biggest sellers and builders in stock for the no doubt sizable potion of potential buyers who don't want to pay a year ahead of time for a figure.

New update about shipping:

Colosseum Wave coming late March/early April, Wave 2 is set for late spring, early summer with a second pre-order happening before then. All-Star pre-order opens this friday, but still no confirmation about the added Legion Builders.

I just love how these guys are coming with more accessories then their first wave and the increased weapon variety is just fantastic, One of my biggest issues with the original series was how boring most of the weapons were, but being able to include the new weapons with the new figures addresses that problem. I'm still a bit concerned that the original wave shields will still be using that outdated wrist clip, but it looks like new shields will have a built in handle since there's no extra part in their painted proto images that could be a grip.

The 4H do listen to their fans, they're just slow to respond. I too hope there's another All-Star wave as I want an Otho and Vitus still (the more of other figures I get the more I want those two) and I'm sure any other wave 1 figure they make would sell out fast.

As for this wave, I'll probably get Deltigar, Attila, the Silver Dwarf (the memes sold me on him) and maybe a skeleton. But to be honest, none of these figures are "must haves" for me. With the wave 2 pre-order happening soon, I'm fairly tempted to just skip this wave and focus on more of them, but then I worry I might regret passing on these guys like I regret passing on Vitus and Otho.

This way you're always releasing something for new fans who've been with the line from the start while bringing out older stuff for people just getting into the line.

So you can't expand slowly - usually you have to go from having 3 stable employees to hiring 9 or so and aiming for 5x your profit, otherwise you get deadlocked into doing way more work for the same or less money.

I think the current format is alright. I collected Acid Rain and that was run by someone who thought it was okay to release several one-off convention exclusives all around the world that were better than the original line that hadn't had a release in a year. As long as 4H avoids that kind of treatment of fans, i'll just keep up with the KS and pre-orders.

Skeleton for sure, but then it's a decision between 'cool' red armor guy or the Templar imo. If you really think the Bloodarmor is cool, I say go for him. He's got that whole 'fan built' aspect going for him and more paint aps. The Templar is a bit more plain, but he comes with a cool Templar banner, is cheaper and can go against your skeleton. He also has a different torso from the others so they'll be more distinct from each other on your shelf.

......but I'm not a big fan or Red-Gorgo so my opinion may be a bit biased.

Incredibly easy. The neck armor is just pegged into a hole at the back of the neck. Just need to take off the head first. This is from the templar, uses the same piece as carpathias

Thanks for the suggestions guys, i put some thought on what you said and watched some reviews, i think i'll be getting the Legion Builders for battle poses + the occasional surprise Templar Skeleton pic, also, it will be cheaper.
It's a shame i can't get more, but maybe in the future waves i get some main character or some different skeletons to start an army.

Pre-orders are entirely time based and never run out. You can order as many figures as you want until the final day of the sale. It's only the in-stock sales that have limited quantities as they sell off whatever extra figures they order over what was pre-ordered.

The Pre-Order sales are the best way to make sure you get what you want figure wise.

That doesn't really work that way though. They would need to hire multiple dedicated staff members for order fulfillment to dedicate solely to this. To pay them they would have to sell many more than they do now, or increase prices. They aren't pocketing a whole persons pay worth of profit on these, so they'd have to take a huge risky hit of hiring someone else and hoping demand ramps up.

That's every non-bird related Mythic Legion figure to date. All the figures on the left have been released, though most will be nearly impossible to find. The ones on the right are coming soon, and the larger group will have a second pre-order period available within the next few months for people who want to pick them up.

The figures on the bottom right are in production now and within 2-3 months will be up for sale in exceptionally limited quantities.

If you're looking for authentic period based Knights, you're out of luck. But if you enjoy fantasy based Knights and related character types, you just have to keep an out on this line as they're always releasing new figures, albeit very slowly.

So, I just picked up my first Mythic Legions figure because of this thread.. thanks for that.

I have been checking out the line for a while now and I was eyeing Scaphoid. I snagged him from BigBadToyStore. 50 dollar seemed a little steep, but when I looked up ebay how much he was going for, I was a little taken back.

Are these the normal prices for the late tax?

bigbadtoystore had a deal with them about their standard figures and could only charge 50 max from what I hear. Elsewhere you're looking at 70+ a figure. Just watch here for preorders on the new waves (Right now the all stars 2.0 is going on till feb 9th) and try to snag some then. The wait sucks but it saves a bunch of cash in the long run.

These guys are fully interchangeable within their body type/series type. Meaning any figure using parts based on the original Kickstarter figures, including all the mid-wave released figures so far, can have their parts swapped between each other. The Kicktarter 2.0 figures have slimmer builds so they can't mix with 1.0 parts, but they can still be mixed within the 2.0 series. At worst, you'll just have to heat and pop the joints apart, but every piece is designed to be swappable.

As Anon said, BBTS had some sort of deal and was the only "legit" reseller of these figures at launch. The cheapest way to get these guys is directly through the KS as those are almost wholesale prices (i.e. bbts paid 35 per figure themselves), after that, getting them through Storehorsemen is your best bet. Both of those are limited time sales though so you just have to keep an eye on the line (sign up to the newsletter).

The current sale ends the 9th and soon after a Pre-order for the 2.0 figures should start up again. These are the best chances to get into this line as the Pre-Order guarantees you get your figures. In stock sales are nice, but highly competitive and they usually sell out exceedingly fast.

More or less finished the accessory list of all Non-bird Mythic Legion figures. Updated the weapon pic to include the 2.0 character specific weapons and included >>6734068 in the doc.

While not using fully official item names, it's still internally consistent and about 95% accurate. I don't have all of these figures, and most haven't even been released so it's possible I may have missed an item or two.

If a character comes with multiple heads, all heads and headgear related items are listed. If the character only has one head, nothing is mentioned as it'll only come with what's in it's stock image. I also included any kind of misc accessory (except for belts/pauldrons) and any other interesting things to note.

I'll try and keep it updated as things come out and new stuff is revealed.

I'm with you. I would like all the figures in the line, unfortunely they are too expensive. Maybe I will get the Blood Knight someday. It's my favorite so far. Did you enjoyed the demi-humans like Lucretia or Gadriel? I would pass them. In fact, I would only focus in the knights and perhaps a few monsters. But I would like to amass a army of Legion Builders (like 5-6 of each kit) and the other knights commanding them. I love the Middle Ages!

Go there with all the money you have, and preorder some Templar Knight legion builders. You will not regret it.
The Blood Knight is also being reissued, along with some other sweet figs from wave 1-1.5

Lucretia and Gadriel aren't available yet, but will be later in the year. I went all in, so they are coming.
But I got an extra Gadriel so I could:
a) display both heads
b) use the wings on Juno the Crusher to make a sweet half naked angel. I'm still not sure what head to use, but it'll probably be either Gwendolyn's extra head or Freya

But seriously, that Templar Knight is the best value figure that they have made so far. Comes with sword, shield, pole axe, banner, and and 2 different gorgets.

Boggy doesn't get anything in the way of extras, apart from the secret articulation on his head shown in that review.
But that paint job just pops. Pictures and vids don't really capture it. The head looks really slimy, the rust and the subtle blue on his armour, and weathering on his weapons is a subtle rust.One of the best paint jobs in the line so far.

Barron was from the 1.75 release, and everything in 1.75 was wobbly and loose and had flash on the weapons from the molds.

i wouldn't pay extra for anything on 1.75, but 55 for a 2ndhand is a decent price for a figure that's likely to never get voted in again.

I'd do it if it was a character i cared about, but just be warned that 1.75 sucked QC wise.

He comes with less than the Templar. He came with the big sword, shield and banner, while the Templar also got the pole axe and the extra gorget on top of that, and the smaller sword instead of the big one.
The Baron was $50 on BBTS, so I don't think you'll see him cheaper for a long time.

Buy it if you love him, but if you really just want a black knight, wait for the Mercurian Soldier to be released in the Coliseum Wave.

Ah bugger, why did you have to point that out. I only just noticed the slight bit of flash on the shield, which I never noticed due to the paint job on my shield being pretty naff. The paint mask must have slightly lifted during the paint process, so the right side of the pattern has "soft edges" while the left has nice, sharp lines between the purple and black. And there's overflow in some spots.
I never got any loosey goosey's in 1.75. A few hip joints were slightly easier to move, but not bad enough to let them fall over in 40+ degree C heat, or 104 Fahrenheit to you burgers.
Still better than the wrists on my Asterionn.

How do you think the skeleton legion builder set will be? I just got my first Mythic Legions figure (Scaphoid ) and I think he is fucking awesome. I'm trying to figure out if I really want to jump in line. I assume the skeleton legion builder set won't be as detailed as Scaphoid, right?

Legion Builders use more or less the same parts, just with less paint apps. The skulls and bones of the Legion Builders are done very well, but they're very simple, but their armor is pretty much a solid color. But it's a dark, almost shimmering armor and it looks very nice in hand.

If you got two or three of em, you wouldn't be disappointed, they won't stand out like Scaphoid but they're not supposed to.
