I'm interested in what kind of miniature, but poseable toys there are out there. Tiny figures of people, animals, maybe vehicles but that somehow include articulation.

Diaclone reboot. Expensive tho. They have ball shoulders and hips, hinge elbows and knees, and an ab crunch. Also they have magnets in their feet, so they're standing up on screws in the transformers base

Diaclone is definitely the smallest poseable figures I've seen and they're pretty great. They even have little magnets in their feet. I want to make a little base for them in an altoids tin since they can stick to it.

I've been curious about those (Transformers collector) and was hoping to find a cheaper alternative.

I remember having a tiny Robocop that came with pic related, a die-cast version of his car. The toy was surprisingly poseable, ball-point arms if I remember correctly. Wish I still had him, he was pretty nicely sculpted for his size.

Halo, Call of Duty, Destiny, Alien, Star Trek, MotU, Monster High, American Girl, Pokemon, just off the top of my head.

They seem to have a lot more in their kubricks line (essentially brick build POPs). Including like Hellboy and stuff that I hope get made into minifigs at some point.

The Mobile suit ensemble line of gashapon toys is small (5-7cm high) and has quite a few articulations. (balljoints shoulders, feet and neck, knee and elbow joint and rotation on hands.)
Up to you if you like gundams design though.

The figures in Acid Rain's b2five line are 2.5in tall and incredibly articulated for their size. Some great vehicles/mechs too.

Those are quite small, swappable parts and articulated limbs. A bit expensive for their size, but there's two or three different series, so you can start a bit of a collection.

I was wondering why hexagear seemed reasonably priced....1/25 scale? That’s really fucking small.

Joytoys make some 1:27 soldiers with accompanying titanfall style mechas.
Pretty hard to get a hold on cheap for now, but production seems to kick in in 2018. I have a bunch of unpainted variants on the way for customizing, the upside is they cause with tons of accessories.
