That sure there may not be an obligation to go, but that's not a reason to believe they won't. The rest was padding, like mentioning that Tomy has actually shown more than they solicited at last year's Toy Fair
And I am excited, I just don't think it's unexpected that they would be attending Toy Fair. You're right that there is no need to go, but it makes sense for them to, so I was expecting that they would. And we already knew they'd have product out in the fall of 2018 (this was mentioned in the first story that announced they got the master license), so it only makes sense they'd have product to show a few months before release date with manufacturing and what not. Don't see how I was a contrarian at any point but that doesn't matter since that doesn't affect the topic at hand. So it isn't that I'm not excited, I just didn't see this particular news as particularly exciting. Now if they mentioned what kind of line they'd be making, that'd be a different story, but obviously they can't do that yet.
