Me and my brother grew up pretty much identical, we played with figures daily, played video games together, had the same group of friends, we both were active in going out. But now we're in our 30s and he can't even watch a 30 minute TV show without a phone in his hand, scrolling and flicking non-stop while only occasionally glancing up to see what's going on around him. And for what? I ask him what's even worth looking at, and he provides no real answers of substance. He's looking at stuff that isn't time sensitive, it's shit that's posted and he can read at any time but he actively chooses to have it infiltrate his every waking moment so that his attention is constantly split. It's weird. I wish I could help him get cured of this garbage but maybe I'm the messed up one for not seeing any value in it.
