I'm actually doing it for my gf this year: Getting her some books from a collection late. I could only afford half of them before Christmas, but what's the point if I don't get her the full set, right?
You really want to hang onto that one if she got you a complete Dreamcast setup. That doesn't just show love: It shows that she knows you and your hobbies well enough that she could actually buy you something. Even my gf doesn't try to buy me actual toys, because what I may or may not want is so esoteric, unless I put them on a Christmas list or something.
