The ones that scream for super complex stuff are the reason MP36 is such a hassle to transform even if the end result is great, but at the same time if the transformation is too simple the toy is no fun at all.
You have to hit that sweet spot in the middle that balances complexity and fun and I feel a lot of the official stuff that fills the traditional size classes nail this, especially the more unique and interesting stuff like many of the TR voyager and leader class stuff and a handful of the deluxes, not to mention the voyager Springer from back in Generations
Masterpiece and Third Party run the gambit with stuff like MP Star Saber being absurdly simple for the price while Maketoys Utopia is just a touch too complex to really be fun to transform.
I do think 3p is getting better and finding the happy medium, though. Maketoys Cross Dimension line nails it pretty well and their MP Galaxy Force Starscream absolutely finds the sweet spot. MMC has always had a rep for intuitive transformation with the exception of one or two molds, Iron Factory is redefining what Legends scale can be and even Unique Toys is showing us that screen accurate bayformers don't have to be absurdly complex to be good. Peru Kill is shockingly simple for what it accomplishes, easily up there with or even surpassing Prime First Edition Bulkhead in terms of mass shifting and dethroning PRiD Vehicon as the best carformer of all time. Now if they could nail the articulation at the same time they'd be aces.
