I feel like this theme is simultaneously the coolest and dumbest one ever produced

Cool because some of the mechs are the closest they have ever gotten in quality to the fan-made stuff

Dumb because of the minifigs piloting half of them and the fact that the other half consists of robots in robot suits.

First gen best gen. The golden city and jungle ones were generally bad, they tried to detach from the all-humanoid mechs but couldn't do it right. The mini bots were nice though.
