This is the real reason. There is no 3-dimentionality to Liefeld's art. There's no attention paid to form or perspective or how bodies occupy a space. Everything is flat.

The closest anyone came was the Youngblood figures that McFarlane made in the 90's.

There are a few,released by a multitude of different companies between the late 90's and early 2000's . They're usually primitive by 90's toy biz standards, and are more akin to statues than figures. The hard thing is finding them under liefelds name,as theyre more likely to be branded under his characters names.

You should really check out the new Prophet comics. They kept all the original source material from the 90s series and relaunched it as a balls-out space opera.

I hate Rob's comics but some of the 2012 reboots were amazing.

A lot of older comic guys suspect Rob learned anatomy through MOTU figures.His figures are usually a little less squat, but the proportions are there.

Pretty much Yamaguchi's stuff.
Tiny heads, oversized chests, way too tall. Very odd proportions, straight out of a 90s Image comic.

Yamaguchi is a lot closer to Sam Keith than Liefeld. The characters are disproportionately muscled, but there’s still a lot of depth and dynamic movement. Liefeld draws very flat and static, and even the most ridiculous Yamaguchi figures are insanely posable.
