I'm hoping in general they standardize weapons and hands, for more fun weapon swapping.

Problem is there's very little options outside the line that works well with AY hands and size.
Punisher I really doubt it. Too boring. Any number of A list heroes with powers and flashy suits will sell ten times better. The line will be pretty predictable before moving to Japanese stuff whatever those will be. The random Marvel ones we will probably get afterwards could be more interesting in selection.

My Kirin x came in. So many flaws on this beautiful bastard. His neck is way longer than I’d want it to be, but that’s to stop his hair being blocked by the top Part of his cloak. Not too noticeable if you have him looking down and only down. His cape is a real bastard. It’s stiff and is only on a swivel. It hinders everything. It blocks the arms, the legs, the neck, the weapons, and his spine. Only way to move him out of a scrunching position is to take him apart at the middle and manually move the joint. I really hate his waste. His legs don’t go out much at all unless you awkwardly move his pelvis to the side. My last nitpick is that the gear in it’s charged mode doesn’t plug in all the way because the peg is too long so it just sticks out. It can be ignored if you don’t stare at it as intensely as I do. It’s very well sculpted and painted, though. Mine came in painted flawlessly. The way the paint can go from a pink to a red to a gold gradually and naturally is incredible. It can also still get into decent action poses like the promo pictures show, but not nearly as many as the other hunter figures do.

I couldn't sit through the movie but loved that Movie Realization figure that came out of it since it's designed by Terada and sculpted by Takeya. A surprisingly fragile release in particular but gorgeous sculpt.

>>6715077 I'm a bit torn about a Revoltech Devilman because of the size and weight problem.
Should it be 1/12 or 6 inch? I'm not saying the same thing here, because Devilman despite his design is way bigger than a typical human. If 1/12 scale, the size it should be with Yamaguchi's logic we will have a Venom/Magneto situation where the revo joint pegs are too weak and cut-swivel joints are preferred. Especially with the added weight of wings.
I think it should be 6-7inch (about 1/18 scale then) for convenience and aesthetics. Unless they make some better joint solution or Yamaguchi changes his principals. Besides the torso revo joint I think an upscale version of the Wolverine lower body joint set up will work with bigger revos.

Sorry Yamaguchi, probably not Basara.>Ver 2.0 of the old favorites Kaiyodo likes to revisit the same IPs. Dante always gets mentioned. Bandai took Kinnikuman so unlikely now. Same goes for like every Mecha besides Eva. Fist of the North Star is probably the best choice. Nobody else is doing it. Big title game coming too.>Anime also popular overseas Exact opposite principle as the Marvel AY. These will be anime everyone in Japan knows and still have a strong foothold internationally. The tricky part is doing something that's not under Bandai's thumb or done as figma. Also not those anime Americans love but not many in Japan care. FMA for sure but re-releasing the old duo would do if they can and then there's not much else to do after them. Making the giants from Attack on Titan I think will do super well. Fits Yamaguchi's style, super popular, and very little alternatives. Nagai Go IPs probably done to death by the time Kaiyodo gets to them. My Hero Academia and One-Punch Man are popular, but have to be the support characters so it's risky. Yu Yu Hakusho still has no figuarts or figma. Last idea is the Tatsunoko heroes. Sentinel has done them recently, but at a different scale and design. Foreign interest I'm not sure if it's high. But they'll look amazing as AY. And that manga became an anime recently. Sorry for being long. Just wanted to put my thought process down.

So when do they usually announce re-releases?
Anonymous
>>6725896 I don't think it's a risk at all to do One Punch Man considering how badly done the figma is. If they do Genos first before Figma does, and considering how slow figma is with male figures, Kaiyodo could really cash in on that.
I personally think it's not true that Kaiyodo will avoid any IP with toys that have been done before. All those EVA and Go Nagai mechs have had Bandai toys for a while before they came back to it with the revoltech line. Devilman Crybaby is an easy target, trending right now and will be for a while, actually suits their style best and no one else has show interest in doing it. That anon who keeps saying there's a figma of it can shut it, that's figma adding articulation to Takeya's statue they had released before.

My Revo Mag shipped with SAL, no tracking from HLJ to upstate NY on December 5th 2017 and still haven't gotten him. Is it panic time yet?
Anonymous
>>6726273 For mecha, Kaiyodo is avoiding hard. I said besides Eva and that's only because of the close relationship with Gainax and their confidence more and more new Evas can be made before anyone else. Recent reissues exist only because there's still no good alternatives in circulation.
All of those early days Revoltechs of Dynamic Pro, Patlabors, Macross, etc, theses were the days when there weren't much competition and they're stuff that didn't have a dedicated, decent action figure toy line of that size. Notice Kaiyodo didn't make any since 2011? The other big mecha releases they had was MuvLuv in 2012, very niche, no major competition then.
Yeah it's not an absolute law. But it make no sense to go strong now when the risk is so much greater than ever before. They'll pick something that will maximize sales so anything done recently that people already own is very unlikely. The current rush of anniversaries and new series of Nagai Go IPs, I just think Bandai and maybe somewhere else is all over this already and it'll be too late for Kaiyodo. Assuming they're sticking with this potential schedule of only doing Marvel for another year. If not and they've been working on it already, ready to show at this or next WF, releasing this year then yeah it's possible. However Kaiyodo aims to get their revo out before trend ends (or starts) so if we don't hear it at this event I doubt they'll bother with it. I think we'll get a bunch of SHFs instead.

Yamaguchi had a small Q&A panel this Saturday at a comic book themed bar.and I picked up some chatter from it so here you go. Man I wish I was there.> Spider-Gwen's unmasked face didn't make it on the deadline for size adjustment. >Yamaguchi sent the order for it but the content was unclear what he really wanted. >The second costume that came up by image search was picked for CA. Only restriction was "No classic costume." >Yamaguchi's personal preference for a Japanese character is All Might, and he made CA with that in mind. Those are all I see right now. Pretty much what we all expected. I wonder if it's actually up to Yamaguchi to pick the costume? Because if it's the project manager he knows comics so he wouldn't phrase it like I picked the one from image search. Gwen's face is almost exactly what we all thought, a whole mess up in procedure and timing, but seems Yamaguchi was at fault too. And before anons get hyped and scream "All Might confirmed!" just know the fact he talked about a specific character like that, and that content of the panel was judged okay to be discussed outside of the panel...it probably means they have no plans of making that revo. If it's something being developed Yamaguchi couldn't talk about it. He talked about it, and incorporated his ideas into CA probably because he knows it wont happen for real. Even if it comes through it will be years from now.

>>6744478 >Only restriction was "No classic costume:. I can totally see marvel specifying that for someone who already has fifty million different 6" versions of that costume like cap. It potentially fucks with my most wanted for the line like 90's rogue, but then again I'm thinking maybe that was just for cap? The Magneto design we got was sure as hell classic, so I don't think it's automatically off the table.
> just know the fact he talked about a specific character like that, and that content of the panel was judged okay to be discussed outside of the panel. Source on this? I wouldn't expect him anytime soon either if he made cap with AM in mind, but I'm curious about where you got this from in the first place.

>>6744543 Only the green text is quotation from a Japanese Revo General board. The whole name dropping means it's not in works is just common sense, my own opinion. Regardless if there was a plan for one talking about it in this fashion surely breaks some contracts with the IP holder.
My thoughts on costume is not necessarily "no classics" for everyone, this was about Cap, but more to do with time period. Like costumes not worn since 2005 for a random example, is off the table. Of course it's probably by character basis too.

It makes no fucking sense when you look at the rest of the line of course but it sounds like something they would do.

If they could get someone else to do the heads I would adore Revoltech getting a hold of the license.
Imagine a Deku or Froppy with the flexibility of Spider-Gwen or Wolverine.
Also they would do more than one or two characters and actually reissue the ones that sold well enough.

However they wont do other DOA characters. Like the anon said that Kasumi is a figma of their old statue, not a Kasumi from a particular game. If that make any sense.
I think DOA Revoltechs have a decent chance, more so than other fighting game properties simply because Yamaguchi did it before.

I wouldn't mind an Anderson, either.

>>6745311 Just wait, when Carnage pops up, he'll get another re-issue. Also, I don't know what's the euro rate to usd, but he is a pricier revoltech release due to his bulk alone. He is worth the money though, real fun figure to have.

It's in stock at hobby search and the price isn't so bad in euros about 50€ something. It's the shipping that kills me though, ems is my only option at hobbysearch while i can choose reg airmail at amiami which is cheaper than ems. I'll just wait for a re release.

Yay Yamaguchi reads the same manga I'm into. I hope it leads to an AY one day. Slightly more possibility than an absolute zero. I think he tweeted before about the manga and I made the same post a while ago, but I can't remember. Jyuzo is awesome.

Looks like they'll release small packs of past ABs as a sort of parts builder sets. Looks like they took the 3 support mechs and the bike and repackaged the parts into 7 different mechas. This image is saying they'll be sold first at WF. Which means they intend to sell them regularly later.

Called it!...I think I called it. Yeah when Anima books were announced to come out as collected books. Well they're actually doing it, and the form I wanted too! Very curve ball to go this way, I thought TV ver direction but they might be keeping that for later. The books did come back to print so this is more timely I guess.
