One or the other thread: Not broke, but am limiting myself to just one more toy purchase this month.

I'm torn between a SHF TMNT Leonardo for roughly $50, a Vulcanlog Glavenous Monster Hunter for $50 or SHFSS Kamen Rider Accel for $57.

What are your picks, anon who have owned any of these?

Also if anyone else is in conflict on picking one toy from different lines, go ahead and post it here too.

This is the SHFSS Kamen Rider Accel... All shown in the order I discovered them at the shop and have tempted me.

I like Leonardo, Glavenus is one of my fav armor sets and Accel, I really like how well done that toy is. So if you're asking personal attachment, the first two actually have the slight edge. Accel is my least fav good guy out of one of my fav Kamen Rider shows, more so impressed by just how well done it is. I've seen opened display pieces for all three and very impressed by all three.

Look at the BST. It's jam packed with Kamen Rider shit. Nobody actually cares about it long term, you're wasting your money if you go with that one. Yes, SHF typically puts out good figures, but what good is that if the dang thing is going to be in a box within 2 weeks of buying it and never opened again?

I actually like revoltechs, a lot, ever since the line first started and until now. I've always liked Kaiyodo's zanier articulation design and I grew up with their toys even before they started the revo line, since I was born in Asia. As for BST, I guess pretty good availability down the timeline is a factor for skipping a regular release SHFSS. That being said, if you hate revoltech this much, well, I guess that's your answer for this question.

I just have a shelf dedicated to just my fav figures of my fav characters from my childhood and at this moment, only thing it's lacking is actually a classic cartoon Leonardo. I'm safe from being tempted to get the other 3. You're kind of right for Accel, I never considered him on my want list, but seeing that figure on the shelf I was stunned by how well made the toy is that I'm tempted to buy him to put alongside my W and Skull.

It seems like Accel is out of the running for me... now to decide between the two thanks anons.

All 3 options are great but its mostly whichever franchise you want to pursue more.

Chances are if you buy Leo you'll buy the other 3 turtles. Glavenus is a sleeper hit of the MH revoltech franchise. Accel is a renewal with paint and articulation in the 9's.

You're going to get conflicting answers but whichever option you pick won't be a disappointment.

Should have picked up Leo at Barnes and Noble during xmas. 30% off plus they stack the 25% off coupon they email you. Got all 4 turtles for $26 each and SHF Ryu. Just had to go to two different stores each week since coupons were unique, then they sent a generic one 2 day before xmas.

Grabbed SHF Leonardo in the end. Honestly the QC on this is shockingly good, perfect paint aps, nice distribution of weight and really tight joints... I've had SHFSS purchases with more issues than this.

I'm really confused now by what the hell made Bandai decide they were going to really ace this release..? They went above and beyond for the Turtles.

The turtles have a pretty good track record of being popular around the world. They saw this as a huge potential for collectors that might not buy from them otherwise. And it worked. Not many Figuarts get released at regular retail in the US, but you can find these in Barnes and Noble (along with DBZ Figuarts and the Marvel Movie Figuarts

I don't live in the US and customs for my country is shit. A $30 item could end up being 50 anyways with shipping and pesky customs... not to mention it's die cast so the chances of it getting opened and tampered increases.

The store I frequent guarantees that if I open it on the spot and any QC issues happen, loose joints, scrapped paint, they'll exchange it on the spot or I can trade the money I've paid with another item (or turn it into store credit) if they're all out of the stock. I'm happy they're around since they also let me do pre-orders for P-Bandai stuff. Don't mind the price difference if I can inspect on person and guarantee I get good ones.
