>>6716977I won't lie, Hot Flame is a QC shitshow. His joints aren't fragile, but they really sound like it. His different faces are also a fucking bitch to switch out the first time. You've got to be willing to graphite lube him up real good, like unscrewing parts good, to make him fun in hand. Even then his gun only really hold well in his left hand and his heel wheels are super fucking tight to take out.
If you're willing to look past all that, then you'll find one of my favorite figures of last year. He's so fucking great looking in both modes. His altmode looks way better in hand than in photos and his robot mode looks like it jumped out of a comic page vrom every single angle. I'm amazed how there's virtually no kibble and how much he can compress for altmode. I don't even like the comics and I can't get enough of him. One you get over the hurdle of lubing, he's a bot with great articulation, fun accessories, and a nifty aesthetic.
Calidus is a bot who's way better made and easier to transform, but he just looks so lifeless and undercooked. Not bad, but I wouldn't blow MMC levels of cash on him. If you're willing to love a toy for it's engineering over its QC, then make the trade.
