that's a neat setup anon
i don't have a klocki battlestation yet
in a month and a bit i should have one when the new place is finished being built
so what i've been doing is just chillin on my bed with two cloth wire baskets (pic related) and as I'm building a new set I empty the lego bags into one basket and the second one is for any leftover pieces and such. It works pretty well and is comfy. I just need to pick up two more baskets as both are quite full now with lego pieces and completed minifigs/vehicles/mechs

It's my winter project while home from uni, a SHIP-length hardsuit-trooper dropship. Started with a neat tablescrap bug-eyed canopy I made (which I of course tore up and rebuilt bigger as the ship expanded in scope). It's almost done - I only really have detailing left - but here are some quick WIP pics.

One time in a toy store there was this qt working specifically for Lego, standing near the shelves with Lego so that she could give support to customers. And that's where a problem arose. Grabbed pic related and Ravager Attack for less than $30. I only grabbed the Attack for Tazerface's hair and Mantis, but the parts are probably useful. Most of them are from the Exo Force tank thing, some might be from Dino 2010/Dino Attack though, both themes had a lot of stickets with all kinds of small hatches. Exo Force switched to stickets on colored backgrounds later though, which limits their use a bit.

Personally, I prefer LDD. I like the interface more and it seems easier to get into. I've heard that you can open the .lfx files from LDD in Stud.io and then transfer the brick list directly to Bricklink and order your parts. Never tried it though.

It's a pretty niche ability. I've had some people tell me I should just buy a case, figure out which is which, and resell them at a markup since some people seem willing to pay a premium as long as they get what they want. Never really gave it much thought, to be honest.

I used to go with my ex gf to target and I would grab a bunch, put them in the cart and feel them up as we walked around. At the end of the shopping thing we swung by the Lego aisle again to drop off the duds. It also works when you’re a lone. I mainly just hate standing around and wasting time

As for me, when it come sto blind bags, I just grab a few and hope for the best. I'm too shy to actually try and feel what is inside the bags when I'm in store.

The new Batman sets have started turning up in Big W today, if that helps. Egghead mech, shuttle, etc. I also found five boxes of Batman series 2 CMFs at a Kmart.
BrickingAround is the only Australian Lego website I've found for tracking exclusivity and sales, but they don't really track releases and sightings I don't think.

Are the minifigs going to match the last Arctic theme? I'm using mine as Ice Planet guys after they've terraformed the planet to have a breathable atmosphere since all my OG Ice Planet figs are gone besides Commander Cold. I need some more Nexo canopy pieces for ships though.

my store can't make up what its mind is. last year they always had a clearance aisle that eventually got slurped up by seasonal. if their clearance really needs gone they'll load up carts and push them to the front (full of DC super girls sets today) but nowadays its just in the normal aisles. managed to find a park street townhouse for $30 hidden behind a bunch of other stuff

I'm having such a nostalgia attack.
I took this picture when i was in Cologne back in 2014 see one of few friends i have in the internet.
We were walking through some series of stores inside of the typical "Beautifule~ Europeano~ Street~" with stone and medieval buildings how i suddently saw a Lego Store!

I saw these 2 sets they had on display and it blew my mind. I didn't expect ice tribe having a giant AT-AT mammoth walker. I think this was the point when i turned into a complete ChimaFag.
PS:
Oh yeah...and also i didn't come inside of that store because my friend is older than me and a normie and i didn't wanted to look awkward when i will be squealing about all those toys. So we kept walking...

Which means - i still never was inside of any Lego stores. Even if i once in my life was very close to one of them...what a joke.

Im going to sell some made-up/custom lego keychains soon. (characters made from existing lego pieces - i built some characters and made keychains from them)

Will this get me into serious copyright troubles?
Keychains will be sold in packages that i designed. So they will look like some actual brick-products with blisters and shit.

I have a huge tote of the older style LEGO. The logo on the studs is different and the plates on the back look like the prior anons picture. I keep them separated from my collection. Not sure what to do with them and didn't think there would be a demand for them. I get them on occasion when I buy lots off of CL or in yard sales. I pick them out and toss em into the tote. I probably have more than 10 pounds of the old stuff. Worth??? Mind you this is before minifigs and the specialty parts they have today.

Glad you like it. It started as an excuse to show Mocs but then I wrote up too much story soooo yeah, I’ll probably do more like it if enough people enjoy it.

At any rate - the Jakku Quadjumper. Was it sort of a cash grab for lego to make a model of a ship that shows up for 3 seconds then gets unceremoniously blown up? Yeah, but fuck off it’s a cool design. Wish the cockpit was a little more flush but there’s only so much they can do, and the four engines make it look like a real powerhouse. Also the minifigs are a nice touch - wish Finn had an alternate face aside from “angry” and the BB-8 fig is kinda fugly but it’s all good.

The “exploding” gimmick is pretty dumb tho. The switch that activates it is floppy as shit and half the time it just scoots the engines out a bit. Plus there’s a read and front cockpit and just switches and blocks in the middle. I might remove the gimmick entirely and hollow the center out to make the ship more roomy. Overall though it’s not a bad set of not a bad ship.

Moneys gonna get tight soon. Taking all of my newest and/or good condition figs back to school in case I NEED to sell them for money. Besides a few small builds, this thing is full of nothing but mini figs and accessories from practically every current them + a few discontinued ones. I've been to that store a couple of times. People are always really friendly (as in most Lego stores) and they don't mind AFOLS.

There's lots of adults making their own figures and buying stuff. It's really no big deal.

I made a 3-pack of figures. Kinda expensive, but they have some neat parts. The only thing that's really stupid is they only allow a maximum of 5 parts per figure. So you can make a figure with:
-legs
-body
-head
-hair/helmet
-ONE acessory

It works OK as a rule for basic figures, but for example if you want to make a knight you can only have either a sword or a shield and not both. Best thing to do is to leave out parts you already have like hair or even a face. Then you can add more rare parts.

Half the Lego Stores I've been to have an unspoken "any 15 parts" rule about those figs; the other half have have been quite vocal about you needing to use the correct parts.

It's not so much "the store" as "the individual clerk you happen to talk to at that moment". Once I used the BaM to stock up on rare torsos and the clerk told me that I should go back and get some accessories to go with them.

Someone post the picture of the BaM package that's just 15 seagulls.
