Aliens, stormtroopers & monsters were the pull for my interest in SW. I remember saving every penny I could to buy a Rancor monster when I was a kid.
I think when parents buy this stuff for their kids it's because of the franchise brand name. When they give it to them and its so un-interesting the kids aren't even playing with it.
Last week I found a Black Series 6" Poe Dameron from TFA at a thrift store already. I bought it not because I wanted a Poe figure, but because it was 75¢ and I wanted the helmet for other figures.
