What is your dream line? like the grail-like combination of IP, Companies and style.

For me, the ultimate line would be 3.75" figures of just the troopers from star wars(all variations) with the level of detail and care that goes into Acid Rain World

One of it actually happened for me, Takeya's Buddhist revoltechs.

The others are:

1) The RG style Zaku but as a sturdy robot damashii release. Which also covers all the other grunt suits + side character suits. I'd love to see a Kampfer and some fed grunt suits in the RG style... but as sturdy action figures and not model kits.

2) Manga Realization line was also a dream line for me but it died out. It was my fav artist doing iconic niche manga characters as a high-end figure line.

3) actually really nicely made articulated figures of real life animals

It's been said a million times, but I'd really just like a high quality 1/12 line of historical warriors, with good level detail, articulation, and packed with a shitload of weapons. Maybe some interchangeable helmets or alternate colors.
>Crusader with arming sword, spear, shield, bow, and battleaxe
>16th century samurai with katana, wakizashi, yari, longbow, and arquebus
>Viking with long and short axes, spear, shield, and sword
>WWII US commando with 1911, Thompson, Garand, and BAR
You could make dozens of different figures for this sort of line.

Historically speaking, is it even possible to get a solid idea of what an authentic warring viking actually looked like in terms of clothing? Most of what we have as a mental image of them is a later-century construct and romanticized elements from stage plays. Historical assumptions of their clothes are just construed with literal rotted and decomposed scraps of fabric. And what few scraps have been found, there's no way of knowing the context of the clothes in which the person was buried, since almost all vikings were essentially peasants. So they could have been buried in their peasant clothing, or a special outfit from war, or a different traditional ceremonial garb... or there's nothing of the sort to be distinguished between all of the above and the vikings just wore into battle the same shit that they'd wear tilling the field but with an axe and a shitty helmet, and they were buried in their meager clothes.

A line of Western figures would be my thing. I would be happy with either 1:18 or 1:12, because they each have advantages and disadvantages.

1:18 would be cheaper but allows for more accessories.
1:12 is more expensive but would allow for more solid figures and details.

I'd want to see various series similar to you see with Marvel with their being characters from movies, video games, books/comics, folklore, and some historical figures from the American West having their own respective series.

I also would want there to be a packaging style similar to Kickstarter lines like Mythic Legions and HACKS where the packaging can easily be opened and "resealed" so you can have the best of both worlds with displaying figures open or on the wall with attractive packaging.

Examples:
Entertainment Series: John Marston (RDR), Doc Holliday (Tombstone), Dolores (Westworld)
Folk Heroes: Pecos Bill, John Henry
Historical: Wild Bill, Crazy Horse, Billy the Kid

There was a KS campaign for a 1:18 western line that actually got funded. It's absurdly behind, but the last I heard was a Spring '18 release.

There's also renaissance-era illustrations of rhinos and giraffes that look nothing like the things. It's a long standing fact that we know next to nothing about true cloth viking garb in a precise sense because, frankly, almost none of it survived and nobody who actually saw them in person cared to go into explicit detail over it in art or literature.

we got a pretty good idea of what it looked like. Not so much materials, but pic related is one example and their are several others as well. Also their is a ton of accurate renaissance-era illustrations of those animals too.
