What would you do /toy/?

I post on a forum dedicated to antique japanese robot toys. I help a lot of guys restore the metal ones. I helped one guy restore one of my favorites about 3 years ago.

He also post on a GI Joe board. And has shown his collection there.

Last week while I was sick, a man on ebay sold a box of mint robot toys from this series for 50 bucks. A guy from that GI Joe forum bought the box. I contacted the seller and told him I'd buy that box of robots for double what he paid. And I'd give the seller a finder's fee if he helped out. Of course the seller agrees.

I never hear back.

This morning the whole box of antique robots are on ebay for $2000 from Mr. GI Joe.

Now, what really gets me is that the listing reuses all the photos I posted to help this other guy that post on both forums.


I don't know. I'm personally just disgusted. That this guy has used information I put out there to help others to fuck me. That he doesn't even care about this line of toys. He only knows about it because of this guy that posts on both forums. That he completely fucked the original seller whom was obviously selling his now dead son's stuff.

Its like dude, you have a line of toys you obviously love. Why are you going into this other fandom and taking this huge fucking shit? Why are you fucking this old man out of the money his son's shit is worth? What the fuck is wrong with you?


Should I just get over it? Should I buy it and request a refund because this idiot has several errors in the listing? Should I just message him and tell him he's full of shit?

Sometimes I really hate toy collecting. The shitty behavior you see how some people.
