They are movie accurate. I like Crimson Empire too but there is something interesting about tunic-only as well.
I am very disappointed that Hasbro gave the Senate Guard a Kir Kanos repaint body instead of using an officer tunic like the movie costumes and Tarkovskys Clone Wars have always shown. There is hope that they will do a TPM Senate Guard with open face helmet and the correct body. Shouldn't even be that hard since they have 3 imperial officers to steal from.

And I have never heard anybody on the internet complain about Hasbro fucking up the Royal Guards blaster. They had Tantive IV Rebel Trooper blasters in the comic, not Scout Trooper pistols.

I was talking about the Black Series, as I would expect what seems to be one of the cheaper options for Darth Vader to be harder to get. Looking at the difference between Sh figuarts and the Black Series is really making reconsider saving up more.

People speak pretty highly of model kit vader, though he needs a little paint and you pretty much need to bring your own cape. Either of the MAFEXes are good, and the recent 40th black series vader is quite fine for the ten or so bucks you can get him for.

What would you change on Dooku? Compared to Anakins and Obi-Wans face his looks spot on.
Only thing disappointing me with Dooku is that they felt like they needed to give him that kind of chest joint when he would have been fine with something like the Jedi have and that the trousers have the same color as the tunic when they should be a bit darker though nearly no toy keeps that detail in mind so I didn't really expect it.
I think when the cape looks correct with the shoulder details it will be useful to move attention from the bothersome parts. I wish they hadn't draped it back for that pic.

Catalog leaks show nothing but a surprising TCW binge. I assume they are waiting for the show to become "classic". Hasbro has said similar things about Rebels when they were asked about 3inch non-5POA figures and the missing 6 inch main characters.

Isn't it weird that there are no figures of adult Ezra in any of the lines, not even 5POA? The show really has to stink when the main character is figuratively getting zero merch.

The articulation is shit, the plastic they used on the helmet is cheap, gummy and prone to warping, the painted eyes look like shit, and they bundled it with that shitty cardboard backdrop when it first released so it wasn't even the cheaper option of the two.

The articulation in the BS is objectively worse though. Mafex Vader's head has waaaay more range of movement, he can look up and down and his head can pivot as well as rotate. Double jointed arms allow for much better range of movement.
His waist joint has much more range of motion.
He even has toe joints.
On top of this his interchangeable hands allow for more display options.
Also his lightsaber can be put on his belt whereas the Black Series belt loop is gummy and doesn't let the saber hilt lay flat.
As far as paint and sculpt that's purely opinion and I'm not gonna say you're wrong about that but the Mafex definitely doesn't have any blatant paint or sculpt issues.
I feel like you're being stubborn and dismissive rather than encouraging legitimate discussion.

No he's not. Revan was always supposed to be the player character, even KoTOR 2 gave you the option of who Revan was. Whatever EA did to the story isn't and never was canon, but this is also why Revan never needs to appear in any movies or future stories. The whole appeal of the story was that it's your character, taking that away and giving him a set role completely kills the appeal. Male or female, he's a non character that only works because of the interactive element of the games.

And yes, this is why he sucked in that shitty MMO and petitioning for him to appear in a future movie/series is dumb because if it ever does happen, it'll obviously be a female version that drives half of you to give yourselves aneurysms.

Only in later stories that had nothing to do with the original story or writers. Like I said, even in KoTOR 2 you had the option to choose who Revan was, he wasn't a preset character until they decided to fuck it all up with later content, which was all shit.

If they ever do make Revan canon now, they likely won't follow anything that came after KoTOR 2 and will almost definitely go with a female version, the main writer in the Lucasfilm Story Group has even said as much (even if that's mainly to piss off certain fans).

I don't know mang, they have obviously been inspired by that YT-Freighter Owners Manual that showed that the Falcon can be outfitted with different cargo modules for different purposes so they got some old EU autism points from me.

But then again the thing is so incredibly clean. There has been a picture of the Falcon from ROTS floating around and it basically looked like the OT Falcon with a couple blue stripes. Looking at the Solo Falcon it is obviously not the same ship. And just look at the trailer with the white cushions on the wall, while the OT has them yellowed so hard they come off as if they always were originally tan. What the fuck could Han have done in 10 years or whenever this movie takes place to make them that yellowed? It's not like Chewbacca wiped his ass on them for 10 years straight, it just looks new to look new and as we all know a major draw of the SW universe was always the lived-in feeling of the world.

Model Kits being hard is such a meme. Bandais stuff are basically snap kits, no glue, no cement. Then Bandai is doing absolutely everything to make it the most casual-friendly experience with stuff like Grievous eyes being molded out of 3 colors and the upcoming Han/Luke as Stormtrooper kits printing the faces on. The hardest part is getting stickers/decals right which is like a 5 minute tutorial on Youtube and if a kit needs weathering or not is a question of taste.

I wish they would stop thinking at least to some degree that their customer base is a bunch of thumb-sucking retards. There was no reason to make new X-Wings just for Poes booster which he used for 2 seconds in the opening, or Phasmas staff and especially not the 1/144 Falcon with outright zero changes from the E7 kit.

It wasn't a question of difficulty for me, it was finding the time and motivation.
Grievous took me about 5 hours in total (the neck/collar piece is still a total nightmare when it comes apart) plus I had to buy a few pots of paint to get him to look the way I wanted. He's very light and fragile, so I feel like I can't mess around with him as much as I'd like to.

I'll probably buy the figuarts version whenever that comes out, the model kit was a fun one-off build but I still prefer actual figures that are pre-painted/built for me.

If they bring Revan, or anything KoTOR related, into the canon, they won't follow anything that came before, after or during ANY of the games. They'll wipe everything and start from scratch, using what came before as only the most basic templates. And if the current thoeries about D+D's Star Wars project being legit, then it will be a cluster fuck of bullshit and characters that are nothing like what they were in the games.

Chewbacca on the other hand was a standard release, and in less than a year he has nearly doubled in price. Looks like I'm sticking with the shitty black series.

I'm gonna see if I can make this body from Ego work, it's got a nice diaphragm joint and double jointed elbows on top of already looking most of the way there. I'm also using cosmic Spider-Man's head, my only gripe being the eyes are a little far apart.
