No sources because as far as I know, sales numbers aren't released. But from what can be seen among fandoms and stores, SW toys seem to have more trouble getting off shelves these days than Marvel stuff.
On the subject of big though, I'd argue super-heroes are much more popular among children than SW. And children do make up a very large percentage of the toy market, so I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Marvel toys outdo SW ones

TQC of the legends is the worst of all action figures, more than multiverse and dccollectibles, 9 of 10 legends comes with a loose joints or a fail paint apps

Only ever had very minor paint issues with my ML figures. And I do mean minor. Stuff like a tiny spec of paint somewhere it shouldn't be or one of the decos having a small gap at the point it's supposed to connect.
I'm sure there are QC issues out there but from personal experience, they're very minor and rare

The last Marvel Legends I bought were Blizzard and Ghost Rider, in that order, and they were a mess. Both had horrible plastic flash everywhere, randomly loose joints, and Ghost Rider's plastics might have discolored because the hard plastic currently looks lighter than the rubbery black plastic. Blizzard was just terrible, I'm sticking to jap figures for custom bases from now on.

I guess they have gotten better because I noticed that that kind of complaints have died down lately.

Anon it really sounds like the only toylines you know about are those two really shitty ones. Granted yeah one of them is better than the other, but it's still not a good toyline by any stretch.

Better how? If you mean better materials, more effort, detail and quality control then there are MANY better toylines.

The only upswings to ML is that it's cheap and accessible to every slob who can walk into a chain-store. Oh and that they crank out 1000 characters a year because they only have to do small tweaks to the same 5 bodies.

Yeah no way Marvel is ahead of Star Wars. I think the gap is closer than some would think though. The problem is SW produces so much more crap than Marvel. Look at any toy store and there is double the amount of SW merch. That being said I think Marvel sells a better percentage of theirs. You don't see too much of their stuff at discount/dollar stores.

Worldwide Marvel is leagues ahead of Star Wars and children in Europe are much more likely to get into super-heroes and Marvel than Star Wars, especially considering how unfriendly the entire franchise is to newcomers. You have 6 movies to watch before coming into the new ones. Super hero origin stories are constantly being retold and re-imagined.
