Like, Grimlock is a guy who just came by that name naturally. But if you name your kid "Rodimus" you're just hoping for good luck down the road.
Or rather, yourself. I like to think they all name themselves, either intentionally else getting saddled with something and never being able to escape it (like "Swindle", off the top of my head)
