>>6822891Overexposed, but I still quite like this shot.
>>6823006My memory is failing me, but I thought they said it was Tang? I'm probably wrong. Anyway, I dug back into my old /toy/ archive and it turns out I had a full set of these pics saved, with various figs submerged. I even have a pic of the tub shot from a distance, haha.
>>6823247Natural daylight will always be best light, try to get that when you can. Which it sounds like you are, so good on you. For home, don't use flash, it looks bad and cheap and blows out photos. Try to get one or two bright repositionable lamps so you can light your figure evenly from both sides, and then look into heat-safe diffusers for them. Shower curtains, certain t-shirts, etc, anything frosted/milky and semi-translucent really. You're just looking for something to dull down the harshness of the naked bulb and give you a nice soft light.
Lastly, whatever works, man. People use a wide variety of backdrops. T-shirt isn't the worst, but you might want to buy a small piece of nicer cloth at a fabric store. Black velvet is a common recommendation because it absorbs light extremely well, so you won't get any reflections. I believe it's also one of the better materials when it comes to dealing with wrinkles. You'll want to look for real velvet ideally, and not velventeen or velour.
