As for the 2014 movie, had they 1. Not called the main character Murphy and 2. Referenced the original at least once, it could easily be a sequel.
The action scenes are all great, it’s pretty brutal (sans gore), it’s funny, and I like the way they handle the subject of his family. Sam Jackson’s parts are basically the comedy commercials from the first. It’s baically the same exact movie but totally different.
Anyway the whole point of this thread was because I feel the film didn’t get the respect it deserves and the responses prove me right.
