>>6796385As a person who has several of the Figuarts Dragon ball figures, therefore, no real need for the Dragon Stars, I still own (and like) all of the Dragon stars. I think the problem is that people just can't help but compare them to the Figuarts, which isn't really fair.
I think if you look at them in a void, on their own, they're actually pretty decent. When comparing them to similar $20 figures, like people have said with Marvel Legends, or even SW Black series, I think they largely hit the same notes.
Probably the best thing, I find, is that they don't use the same gummy, shitty plastic ML and SW black use, so it makes them feel a bit sturdier. Some of the articulation is kind of lacking compared to those, in that the Dragon Stars don't have ab-crunches, nor do they have neck articulation setup, which can make those areas feel a little more limited. Otherwise, its pretty much the same setup. Accessory wise, they all kind of come with the same thing, which is, two pairs of hands (a pair of fist hands, and a pair of grasping/martial arts hands) except Frieza (who comes with an extra, pointing finger hand, and Trunks, who has three pairs of hands, his sword, and the scabbard).
I think the Merged Zamasu BAF wave has been pretty good so far, and who knows if they'll ever make Figuarts of characters like Hit, Zamasu, Merged Zamasu, or that Trunks. Maybe one or two, or something, but I doubt all of them.
