I was just thinking that it'd make sense for it not to be. First of all it's a stand so really only people who own Valentine would care for it, making the market slightly smaller. Plus, considering this first colorway is the only popular one this time around maybe Medicos might try to cash in with by making it retail, since a second colorway might sell very poorly.

There was no announcement made so nothing is in concrete.

However if you want some logic then it’d 90% guaranteed they will both be WF summer exclusives. The name stands on each figure stated “2018 lineup” meaning they are to come out this year. Gyro is out in September, leaving only three more months to squeeze those two in, which is unrealistic especially as neither have been announced for retail yet. So it stands to reason Medicos plan to launch them as WonFes exclusives.

Another option is that late next month the Shonen Jump Exhibition part 2, featuring Jojo begins. Medicos may use one of them as event exclusives for that.

SP was one of the first Jojo SAS to be released damn near a decade ago. They didn't bother to fix any of the other part 3 figs that desperately needed it when the anime aired; what the fuck makes you think they would try to change what is arguably one of the better figures from that time?

Also, they're never going to go with the anime designs over the manga ones. I'm pretty sure the only specific figures we've gotten that were specifically from the anime were WF Joseph and Caesar 2nd.

Yeah I have Johnny, OGyro and 3 Valentines. I plan on getting a non WF valentine and giving him the blond head as well. I wanted only 3 valentines originally but I won an auction at a suprisingly lower amount than expected. I actually budgeted for this ahead of time and ended up spending less than I expected as unbelievable as it sounds.

Seems like it going by the handful of shots floating around Twitter, not a fan of the glossy paint on Valentine but what can you do.

Medicos would rather do a recolor and call it a day or they did a basic rush job.

I'm not too sure how to answer the neck articulation since I remember Gyro and I think the Drifters have a new neck joint but I never picked them up to see. Valentine will obviously have limitations but I guess Johnny will be a little better. I just wish anon's who did picked them up would post a review soon.

I might be wrong but I think it is possible this Diego doesn’t end up as an WF exclusive.
Gyro, Johnny and Valentine are all on the main character category, so they would naturally get recolors, Diego on the other hand isn’t, so he could get a single release, a retail one.
This is all just speculation obviously.
If he does end up as an exclusive, I would say the retail release is guaranteed, considering Baoh and the others.

That's usually how Medicos works. One colorway may have a part that may work best with another or some bonus that will tempt collectors to go after that one release to help pair another. Diego 2nd will come and he'll probably be blonde and the Diego 1st heads will probably pair with the 2nd's in some fashion of colors

At the time his stock was just the same as any other SAS release around the same time. The lack of reissues is the only factor into his scarcity.

You might be right, unfortunately. Considering they both play very significant roles later on, but really only later on, I could see them pulling that. Act 4 does have the advantage of being the main character's stand though.

am i the only one that instantly thinks of Wekapipo when the question of SBR figures comes up? He never gets mentioned as a contender. In my opinion he was a much cooler character than Mountain Tim at least.

Personally I'd really love to see Blackmore. I know that's a unrealistic thing to hope for, but in a world where the guy who jacked a train by turning the passengers old gets a figure, I can't stop praying just yet.

All of those look pretty nice, especially the one that looks like it lights up.

My advice would be just make sure it’s big enough to put a SAS on, a lot of risers out there are too narrow.

I haven't kept up on aftermarket on him but 1st should be your cheapest option because the alternative is the WF release and the cheapest I remember seeing on Mandy one day was 6k, not too sure if that decided to bump up in price now but sold out listings in Mandy may help. Otherwise you may have to dig into other sites like Jungle Japan or lurk AmiAmi's preowned area for a decent deal once he pops up.

Posability is standard fare for stuff in this scale but it does go by design so some can pose really well while certain clothing sculpts limit range of movement. Ruby has that dress and cape so I doubt anything really dynamic will come but you have general room for okay-ish action poses. Just got home from work with Johnny on my doorstep, he's fantastic. Honestly he might be one of my favorite SAS figures.
Some interesting things to note, he has rubbery fingers to prevent breaking, ratcheting hip joints, and the peg holding his head is like the wrist joints, held only by friction

The price on him is a little steep, but he’s probably one of the best looking SAS. His articulation’s pretty good (a little lacking in the shoulders, though). Paired with GE or GER, he looks absolutely amazing and has a ton of posing potential. Definitely my favorite SAS. My only issue with him is that he has no pointing hands.

Pretty good, even if the pink is better, it's still solid, my complaints would be that the paint on the details could be better and the skin is a bit too pale.
I like how he looks by WF Jonathan, GE 1st and WF GER, not to mention the Haruno head, which is very neat. If you have Bruno 2nd and intend on displaying them together, I would recommend getting Giorno 1st, otherwise it's too much blue.

I figured out my situation. The seller wanted a second payment to set shipping because he's a dumbass who didnt just add it to the total. Since buyee though is by far the shittiest middleman I've ever used. They never made an effort to contact the seller. I've contacted buyee support to see if they can get their shit together.

On top of this shit my cheap baoh wasn't in the two packages I recieved. My luck with SAS's this month has been shit.

I sadly own one, my opinion is you should get the pink one. While the paint is not as bad as with gyro it definitely got caught in that downward spiral. The colour is flatter compared to the pearlescent pink, the details are painted more sloppily (on mine at least) and the hair shading is nonexistent. Plus, it's more expensive.
But I guess if the blue makes it worth it for you then good for you.

On amazon UK they're basically the same price. I only want it because it comes with the Haruno head and the colours look nice (at least in promo pictures and reviews). Also I prefer flatter colours to the pearlescent colours of the Pink and WF ones, the QC issues and the lack of hair shading are quite concerning though.

Don't know about amazon, but on mandy there's usually a 1.5-2k yen gap between them. I mean it's not a bad figure after all, it's just average while the pink one sort of blew me away when I saw it in person.
As for the hair, you can see it in most pictures, the blue one's hair is a solid yellow block, while the other has some black in it.

He doesn't come with coco jambo, that's an accessory of the gimped out Silver Chariot. I was under the same impression though. Got my Polnareff yesterday. Really suprised me how his box was four times the size of the regular SAS. And fuck me if his eye-cover thingie wasn't loose on the main head. I've seen others have the same problem. Thank god for super glue.

Neck articulation it’s a bit limitated, and the spurs bent issue is due to the way that Johhny is packed in the box; but i think in general, it’s an awesome figure (Tusk act 1 also have articulation in head and arms, but is a very fragile piece, be careful!)

Nope unless you balance it a bit and use something like blue tack to stabilize it but the head won't reach the neck joint also part 2 Joseph's hair sculpt on the back will stop it from being a fit for SDC Joseph because of the collar sculpt stopping the head on fitting.

IMO the revo horses would probably be a better choice. Thinking of getting a second one for a custom Valkyrie. If I didn't like my first one so much I'd just convert that one. Much easier to take apart to re-sculpt and paint.

The problem with the Revo horses is they are way too small. Even the Figma horses are a fraction out of scale to look truely good, but the Revo horses are comparatively tiny.

They're almost the exact same size (figma being maybe 1cm longer) just the Revo doesnt have a saddle. I also feel like the lack of detail on the Figma one doesn't suit the SAS models.

Imo detolf or another form of enclosed shelf. Detolf is cheap and customizable. Add a few risers and your gold. Highly recommend something enclosed to avoid excess dusting and protection from outside elements pets, moisture, etc.
