https://archive.nyafuu.org/toy/thread/6691063/#q6691063Shouldn't be surprising that a great figure is greatly liked.
>>6803223Aren't they barely painted, where they charge you extra a year later for "premium" paint?
Was never happy with their paint in the first place. Always pretty cheap, compared to other collector companies are capable of doing.
Anyway, DCC was entering that premium market for highly articulated figures. Same articulation as you see as Mafex and Figuarts. Better painted too. Very impressive stuff, for about $40, or more with those with working lights like this Batman.
DCC's Icons, NECA and others release sub-$30 figures with a ton of articulation as well, and many accessories, and have better paint jobs than you see on many Figuarts and better QC than Mafex. Figmas are supremely overpriced for what they are, at least with western popular stuff.
The high price for Japanese collector toys mostly comes from Japanese stuff just being more expensive. Crazyass mark up like CDs, DVDs, BDs costing 20-50+ bucks more just because.
Western toy companies just give fairer prices for their goods, because they're not as greedy and want to sell to a larger market.
ib4 people boasting about preordering shit to get an extra discount, ignoring that you could get discounts on western toys too, like this Batman being sold for $36 at one point.
