It's a pet peeve of mine.
Of course, the Dinobots don't really fit the trope.
Grimlock is naturally the leader, Slag the lancer, Swoop the smart guy and Sludge the big guy.
But Snarl isn't a chick, he's an antisocial moron.
Maybe Slash can be the chick now.
Also I think Sludge should form both legs plus hips in a dinobot combiner.
