I just got Spidey in and love him. Dunno why everyone thinks he is one of the lesser Mezcos. I have X-Force Wolverine, Dr. Strange, and Ascending Knight Batman on Pre order. Looking forward to the new Batman and mother fucking John Wick.

I own Punisher Deluxe, but don't have any photos since I'm preparing to move and he's packed up.

I've got him and he's great. He comes with a bunch of accessories and his cape is fully wired, so he can pull off some pretty good action poses.

You'll have to get Coast to Coast accessories separately, and for the life of me I can't get him to sit on the chair right, unlike OP.

A while back when they showed Deluxe Frank at a toy fair they also showed a Joker with a trenchcoat that never came with the regular joker. That was the one i wanted and i had a feeling that some kind of exclusive would happen with it. Glad i waited and even more glad i was able to preorder

Yeah, I remember that trenchcoat Joker that was shown and thought it was weird that the first release didn't include one. I should've known better. I know it wasn't Mezco's intention to annoy customers of the first release such as myself, but it still feels like I got burned.

I don't give a fuck what anyone says. Mezco Spidey is way better than the shots that are shown. In spite of mezcos articulation (which isn't awful, it just isn't a revoltech) it is my de-facto Spiderman figure. No regrets on that purchase.

Not really seeing a problem with it.
It looks great, not as great as dramatically sculpted in motion plastic clothing, but dynamic sculpts are pretty limited and Mezco's clothing looks great even in that close up.

For whatever reason, the direction of the comic style line shifted from doing a comic accurate take on the characters to doing an original interpretation on them based on how they'd look in the "real world". Why they do that when they also do movie versions of the same characters is beyond me.

I'm still getting them because I don't expect to go too crazy with poses but no up, down and pivot is pretty bad.

The only part that looks felt-like is the vest and it's not gross and fuzzy like real felt.
Close ups on jacket and pants look really accurate to what denim would look like at that scale.

I can see the seams, like all clothes has, but the stitches that are thumb-wide in scale aren't as visible like those SWAT guys.

I'd like to have seen some more glued on fabric instead, just to fake it a bit more. Or hell, do paint washes like 3a does. Nothing wrong with dirtied up militarized police.

It's not just the textured look, but also how it moves. It looks like they're wearing thick felt.

I used to collect dolls of SWAT guys and i stopped because it just did not look good, and still doesn't.

I like Mezco's stuff because they avoid that shit by using tight fitting clothes and hollywood movies have made me used to seeing textured costumes.

I'd like ot see spandex in key places being used to make it not look so doll-y, and like i said, glued on parts to make the giant stitching not be there.

The PX Mezco figures are distributed really strangely. I pre-ordered a Red Son Superman from BBTS and they initially said my order would be delayed until they received more units but a few weeks later they cancelled it because they weren't getting any more.. Hoping the same thing doesn't happen with X-Force Wolverine.

I love the standard one. It's probably my favorite One:12. I have 8 different figures but DS is by far my favorite. The different materials really "merge" almost perfectly unlike some of the other figures.

Yeah, judging by how the materials mesh with one another, it's honestly why I was careful to pick him as my first one since he seems to be a good example of the line's strengths.

Speaking of Deahtstroke I got him this weekend and opened him recently. My first taste into Mezco and he's such an amazing figure.

I did get Deadpool from a trade last year but never got around opening him but he seems disappointing.

I got Deathstroke at a con last weekend and he's very striking in terms of material and articulation.

Probably not. I'm not sure how the PX stuff works but I know Diamond distributes them instead of Mezco and it seems like most stores barely get enough to fill pre-orders or they don't get enough at all.

Winston does look great. Bill Murray looks pretty good, all things considered. Harold Ramis and Dan Akroyd are both hard to even draw accurate portraits of without resorting to caricature, so I can see why they'd look weird here.

Looking at the fabric, it does look a bit stiff. Probably why they needed to cut it a little loose so the joints would have some room to move. Can't imagine they can get their hands near their faces, though.

Honestly I wouldn't see it happening for a looooong time if it even did get a prototype shown, with how many things they've announced and released at a snail's pace.
That being said, classic versions of the Avengers would be my most wanted figures for Mezco to give the One:12 treatment. Hawkeye would be my most wantedm but Thor, Scarlet Witch, Vision, Ant-Man/Yellowjacket and Wasp would all fit their style quite well

So what do you guys think of the mezco Iron Man? My draw to the line has primarily been the cloth costumes and how they cover the joints. Obviously that doesn't work for Iron Man so this forces them to compete more directly figuarts, sentinel, and other companies. Will their Iron Man bring something new to the table?

Also, I want to buy the classic Spiderman buy also want a venom to go along with him. How does the revoltech venom look next to him? Does anybody have any pictures?

Cheaper than Japanese toys, real metal pieces, magnetic bits, working lights, and collector quality paint.
It stands out real well.

A must buy if you're an IM fan and like Mezco's design.

I think Mezco's only real competition was Figma's years old IM suit.
Sentinel offers some metal figures, but they have some really shit proportions and are too expensive for what they are.

It's not a first appearance spiderman. He's missing details, the spider emblem is all wrong, the colors are wrong and they added a lot of their own details that weren't on first appearance spider-man.

I think it’s pretty bad engineering-wise. They’re competing with SHF, Sentinel and Comicave at similar pricepoints but all of the competition has significantly more advanced engineering. Without the cloth it really stands out that the Mezco buck design philosophy is basically Toy Biz era Marvel Legends but 8-10 times the price. The unnecessary greebling ruins the classic Iron Man look too, which would otherwise have been the figure’s USP vs Sentinel’s stylised take and Comicave, SHF, etc doing movie designs. The stealth version is a slight improvement at least.

Although it’s not a perfect figure the Sentinel Armorize Iron Man actually scales perfectly with Mezco figures, and it’s probably the most comic-accurate anyone’s ever made. Beware the metallic version, looks nice but the QC is beyond awful.

I was pretty disappointed I missed out on the tiger stripe costume but I am sure as fuck glad I went with the X-Force costume. They changed some stuff, like the grey, from the promo shots. As for the fuck up with X-Force Wolverine. BBTS likely had nothing to do with their Wolverine coming in late. There was probably some sort of shipping delay (truck breaking down, package being sent to the wrong address, etc.)

People still are getting their orders shipped. And BBTS has a very friendly cancellation policy. You can cancel the pre-order yourself, if you wish. No need to email ANYONE, and no need to worry you might get banned for cancelling an order (like some certain japanese toy sites)

I wouldn't go so far as to say "Fuck BBTS" just because a product was delayed...by one week.

I mean, at the end of the day, it's up to you where you spend your money, but I personally find BBTS to be a good, reliable retailer.

Popeye is a cartoon I used to watch as a kid, among many other old cartoons. I also loved the NES Popeye game, as a kid. so I have some fond memories of Popeye, but I never have been a real fan, so to speak.

But who knows, this figure might make me one. I'm already tempted to check out the classic comics that inspired the cartoon.

They were delayed in shipping everyone's x force wolverine. It was discussed like 3 times before your post in this thread. They were way way way way way behind everyone else on him and px deathstroke.

Good luck. Their CS is shit. I've been buying from BBTS for over 10 years just because they have the best CS on the planet. I tried Dorkside for a few items last year and had nothing but problems. They refused to replace 2 defective items and cancelled 2 preorders on me.

This. They're not perfect but overall they beat every retailer. My only problem with them has been the delay in getting my POL shipped out within a day. That could have been Mezco's fault. Their shipment from Mezco last year for, I believe it was Flash or Green Arrow, came in a week later than other retailers. You can't blame them for something they have no control over. They can only ship stuff out as soon as they receive them.

The only Mezco figures I recall not being very good with likeness are Ash Williams and BvS Supes. Ash Williams' face is for some reason difficult for people to get right, and pretty much no toy company has made a 1/12 DCEU Supes that doesn't look like John Travolta.

Neca did it, in all incarnations.

And I don't see Mezco making a Kratos body with good proportions, plus, the fabric aspect would add nothing to it, nor would be that much better articulated than the Neca versions.

It would only be much more expensive than a Neca.

The only detail missing in smaller scales should be skin pores and such, not likeness.

I think he means that its impressive because no one else has done a better job at those likenesses in smaller sizes than 12" dolls.

Sculpting isn't hard either. Hasbro has super talented sculptors who do spot on exact sculpts for 4" figures without digitally sculpting them nor 2ups, but their paint isn't the nicest, so the figures dont look that great despite the amazing perfect sculpts and molding technology being so exact now.

Kirk's likeness is great. I had to school a fool here back when it was first released and correct them. Basically it boils down to the fact that you're projecting the image of an older Shatner from the movies onto how you perceive his face, because movie Shatner is the typical default impression of him in our culture. The Mezco release looks incredibly fucking spot on to young TOS Kirk. Maybe the face is slightly more rounded, but otherwise it's there.
