>been working with 3d printers for a while now>about 6 years>got my hands on many printers>cheap FDM 3d printers>high end FDM printerd>owned a formlab1+ SLA>printed with a Stratasys highend SLAafter many years and experience you really have to take into account your ability tu use it!
No joke, materials and consumables ( platforms, nozzles, resin tanks) can have a huge impact on your budget, especially with failed prints.
If you dont have the necessity for the printer itself, meaning you dont sell prints straight out of the printers, I would reccomend the many startups and services that offers printing services.
I see many here, using FDM and than postprocessing the print, sanding, sculpting and so so on, and of course I find that necessary as FDM does not provide enough quality, so yea again, save yourself some headhace and outsorce.
Said that if you still wanna buy one, just buy the cheapest one, I know it sounds crappy and of course I love to own good stuff and good performace, but without a solid knwolwdge you would find yourself damaging the printer and get frustrated.
Once you acquaried a solid mastery on the technology and possibly sold some of your creation you will have all the knowledge you need to buy the next one.
