Meaning and purpose can only be defined by an individual. If someone thinks their purpose and meaning in life is to have fun, then that's what it is. You're free to disagree and state your own personal belief of what the meaning/purpose is but you can't say that theirs is wrong and incorrect or that there's a 100% certain purpose or that yours is the right one

Plenty of people feel like having and caring for their children is their biggest purpose and meaning in life but there's plenty others who don't want anything to do with parenting and still manage to do great things in other aspects/fields of life
At the end of the day the most important thing is that you're happy with yourself and the life you've led and that's something that no one can take away from you no matter what they think or say about your choices

Give a person who holds hedonism as a virtue unlimited funds and see how fast their life is destroyed. Whether or not you're happy isn't what's most important. I'm just saying that fun or happiness shouldn't be the ultimate purpose in life. I assumed you meant fun or happiness to mean gratification because you were talking about folding paper and personal enjoyment. If you meant something else, I apologize.

So yes, you can have a job and be happy. In fact, I said this as well in my first post

I think we're agreeing on the practical consequence of a hypothetical life, but we disagree on the organization of that hypothetical life.
